Heroes, sons and daughters, in order to liberation, a large number of revolutionary patriots have emerged in China who sacrificed their lives for the country. Some of them sacrificed their lives to our country and left us with patriotic hymns, while others survived through many battles and persevered until after the founding of the country.
No matter what the outcome is, these people deserve our eternal respect and commemoration, such as Chairman Mao’s only sister Mao Zejian.

1929, in the Mashou Temple in Hengshan County, a young woman in rags faced her vicious enemy, raised her head and smiled.
"A person is poor and has ambition, and a tiger cannot lose its might. If he is afraid of death, he will not become a Communist!"
Listen to the woman's "stubborn" answer, the enemy was angry and embarrassed and finally brutally killed the woman.
She is Mao Zejian. At that time, she was only 24 years old. She should have been as old as a flower, and she withered in the wave of revolution early on. But if you have the chance to do it again, I believe Mao Zejian will make the same choice.
In October 1905, Mao Zejian was born in Xiangtan, Hunan. Her father was Mao Weisheng, and he was the brother of Chairman Mao’s father, so Mao Zejian was also Chairman Mao’s cousin.
Mao Zejian's family is very poor. His father is a long-term worker. His long-term work has caused him to suffer from lung disease and his health is extremely weak. My mother, Chen, has an eye disease, which affects her daily life and is difficult to generate income for her family. Therefore, 9-year-old Mao Zejian was sent to Chairman Mao's home for foster care by his parents. At that time, Chairman Mao had no daughter at home, so she was asked to be Chairman Mao's sister.
The days when she came to Chairman Mao’s home to live was the happiest day in Mao Zejian’s short life. Her adoptive father and mother loved her very much, and she also repayed Chairman Mao’s family with her actions within her ability.
One year, Chairman Mao encountered a robber at home. At that time, only Mao Zejian was at home. The little girl refused to tell the whereabouts of the money and food in the family in the face of the robbers. In the end, she was beaten to the point of being blue and swollen. This incident also shows Mao Zejian's tenacity in his character.
The good times did not last long. As Chairman Mao went out to revolution, the adoptive father and mother died one after another, and Mao Zejian was sent back to his biological parents' home.
At that time, Mao Zejian was only 14 years old, and his family's financial situation was also very difficult. In desperation, his mother had to give it to the Xiao family as a child bride. began a life of inhuman torture.

If Chairman Mao had not returned to his hometown and rescued her from the devil's cave later, Mao Zejian might have died in the Xiao family. So it was natural for Mao Zejian to join the revolution with his brother Chairman Mao later.
Mao Zejian's first stop is Chongshi Women's Vocational School in Changsha. Here she works like a sponge to learn knowledge and quickly raise herself, who was originally in the "illiterate" stage, to another level. In the process of studying to understand the truth, her thoughts were further cleansed and she became a progressive young man.
Perhaps it was because my life was too hard before, and Mao Zejian was eager to change the current harsh social environment in China through his own efforts. At first she just did some work of posting leaflets and passing on progressive books, and later the organization recognized her ability to develop her as a party member. With her own efforts, she was admitted to Hengyang Provincial No. 3 Women's Normal School and became the Minister of Student Affairs.
She responded to the revolutionary call many times, organized her classmates to publicize progressive ideas such as equality between men and women, and also organized them to march on the streets, forcing the Hengyang County Government to release student representatives who were detained for no reason.
, and she also founded a night school in the countryside, popularizing culture, promoting Marxism communism, establishing a peasant mutual assistance association, and launching a women's revolution.
With her efforts, more than 20 members of the Communist Party of China and more than 400 core personnel were developed in 1927. In that era of terrifying and turbulent events, these people made great contributions to the cause of liberation in our country.
Mao Zejian's contribution is not only in publicity work, but also outstanding in combat command. It was she who led the farmers in Jibingtan after the " Horse Day Incident " to actively fight back against the landlords' armed forces and successfully landed the enemy's den.

It was also her who participated in the Hengbei guerrilla division and participated in the fight against local tyrants and divided the land many times, promoting the smooth progress of the land revolution. She formed the Hengbei Workers and Peasants guerrillas, traveling back and forth between cities and rural areas many times, obtaining enemy intelligence, going deep into the tiger's den to spy on the enemy's situation, and becoming the guerrilla leader who was terrified by the enemy. However, a soldier who was as good as a man was eventually sacrificed to the enemy's artillery fire.
In May 1927, Mao Zejian was betrayed by a traitor during an operation and exposed his whereabouts. Because she was suffering from the confusion of Rocca at the time, she was eventually arrested by the enemy.
Mao Zejian was soon taken to Hengshan again. The person interrogated her was the notorious "Lu Evil Ghost" in the local area, and the landlord bully who once suffered losses at Mao Zejian's hands.
In this way, the two were destined to be enemies and were particularly jealous when they met. The "Evil Ghost of Lu" pointed out the so-called two paths to her when facing Mao Zejian. One was to give out the whereabouts of other Communists, and the other was to choose to die.
Faced with the severe torture and coercion and temptation of the "evil ghosts of Lu", Mao Zejian firmly believed in his beliefs and kept his true heart.
On August 20, 1929, Mao Zejian resolutely rushed to the execution ground, leaving a brilliant mark for the Chinese revolution.
