This is a rare gathering for the "five major secretaries" of the central government. Mao Zedong lived in Shuangqing Villa, Xiangshan, and Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi lived in Laiqingxuan, Xiangshan.

Among the "Five Major Secretarys" in the Central Committee, although 45-year-old Ren Bishi is the youngest, his physical condition is also the worst. His long-term heavy work and hard work seriously overdraw his health. Hypertension , arteriosclerosis, diabetes and other diseases came together, crushing the loyal "camel" of the party.

When he was in Yan'an, Ren Bishi became one of Mao Zedong's right-hand assistants.

Before the seventh National Congress of Yan'an was held, Ren Bishi was responsible for meticulous and highly confidential work: all the top-secret and "urgent" telegrams sent from Communist International were translated by him personally. After the telegram sent by Mao Zedong was translated into Russian, it must be reviewed and finalized before it could be copied.

Ren Bishi conscientiously handled a large amount of work from the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat, which allowed Mao Zedong to withdraw from his daily affairs and concentrate on considering military and political plans.

In December 1949, after Mao Zedong visited Ren Bishi during his visit to the Soviet Union, he visited Ren Bishi

. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War , Soviet doctor Alov conducted a comprehensive examination of his health for Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, Ren Bishi and others. Dr. Alov reported to Mao Zedong truthfully and said: "Most leaders are healthy, but Ren Bishi's physical condition is not good. His cerebrovascular sclerosis affects binocular vision, which is a very bad sign, which indicates that his condition has reached a very serious level."

Mao Zedong was obedient and cared about Ren Bishi's condition very much, and urged him to treat it quickly. But Ren Bishi, who always puts his work first, always asked himself to "if he can take a hundred steps, he should not take ninety-nine steps."

Ren Bishi, who was the first in work and the first in others, had already had three well-known nicknames: "camel", "quilt" and "mother in the party".

"Camel" means to endure humiliation and be responsible. "Quilt" is because Ren Bishi is kind and fair. He treats cadres like covering a quilt in winter, which makes people feel warm and comfortable, and can spend the cold night peacefully and steadily. The title of "Mom in the Party" means that although he is one of the top leaders of the Communist Party of China and is not very old, he always cared for others in every detail like "Mom". Even for small things, he cared for comrades very well.

1949 Ren Bishi made a report while he was sick

After Ren Bishi moved into Xiangshan, he was first busy with the convening of the first National Congress of the New Democratic Youth League. He personally practiced the preparation of the meeting and document preparation. On April 11, the conference was held as scheduled. At this conference, Ren Bishi delivered a long political report to the conference on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China while he was sick. This is a physical overload for Ren Bishi who is sick. At the conference, he developed dizziness, palpitations, and shortness of breath when he finished the first part of the report. In this case, the draft report can only be read by other comrades.

After falling ill, Ren Bishi moved into Yuquan Mountain Gantai Institute.

Mao Zedong and Ren Bishi are like-minded alumni; they are comrades who work together; they are tacit coaches and assistants; they are comrades with deep friendship.

Leaving Xiangshan Laiqingxuan, he also stayed away from the residence of Mao Zedong and other comrades in Shuangqing Villa in Xiangshan. This made Mao Zedong and all the leaders of the central government very much care about this loyal comrade who came from the war together.

After listening carefully to Zhou Enlai and the doctor’s report on Ren Bishi’s condition, Mao Zedong specifically instructed to carefully treat and strengthen nursing.

On June 9th, after Chairman Mao reviewed the documents on Shuangqing Villa , he looked up and saw seven or eight bright red Beijing goldfish sent by his friend. The agility of this goldfish brought joy to Mao Zedong's mind and body. Mao Zedong once said to the staff: "The fish are familiar with me, and I know me! As long as I am together, the fish will swim towards me."

Indeed, when Mao Zedong was tired of reviewing documents or reading, he would walk up to watch, and sometimes feed them some fish and insects. So as soon as Chairman Mao approached, they rushed to gather around and prepare to grab fish food.

At this time, Mao Zedong thought of Ren Bishi who was sick and Ren Bishi who was lying on the hospital bed, he must be very lonely.Thinking of this, Mao Zedong called the guards to the guards and said, "Send this Beijing goldfish to Comrade Bishi quickly."

Mao Zedong wrote to Ren Bishi

Mao Zedong came to the desk while saying that, and took a pen and wrote a sentence to Ren Bishi:

Comrade Bishi: Send a group of red fish for viewing. I wish you good health!

Ren Bishi received a "big gift" from Mao Zedong, and I would like to thank you very much! He also said to the guards: "The Chairman is so busy and still cares about me like this. Thank you Chairman Mao for paying tribute to him!"

This is the first time in his life that Chairman Mao gave a group of red fish in the water to his close comrades, and attached a letter.

This is the infinite affection that Chairman Mao puts for his comrades.
