1946, in Tacheng, Xinjiang, a sheep broke into a vegetable garden of a commoner and ruined a lot of vegetables in the vegetable garden. The owner of the vegetable garden immediately picked up a wooden stick to drive away the sheep eating. But at this time, the two people rushed over with great enthusiasm and saw the old man beating the sheep and said loudly: " Stop it, you old man, do you know whose sheep is this? This is the sheep from the official's house. How dare you beat it at will?"

When the man said this, the old man was so scared that he put down the stick and let the two take the sheep away. He did not dare to mention the claim at all. After all, the specialist is the largest official in the local area and the most powerful official. Although everyone said that this specialist is a good person, what if the news is not true?

Just after the two men left, a gorgeously dressed master came to the old man under the guidance of the two men. When the old man saw the two men returning, he thought he was going to take him away for trial, so he immediately knelt in front of the master.

The master saw the old man's fear and directly explained his purpose: "Old man, get up quickly. I am Bashbai . I am the specialist here. My sheep has caused your vegetable garden to be incredible. I am really sorry. You can take this money and you can also take this sheep. This is what I compensate you. I hope you don't get angry." After

finished speaking, the master turned around and left, leaving only the old man who was stunned and didn't know what to do. At this time, a sheep scream came, and he realized that this matter was true. The official was really kind as the legendary.

And this commissioner is Bashbai, who is the only Xinjiang Kazakh in the history of New China to donate planes in the Korean War except Chang Xiangyu.

1. Wealthy

1889, an ordinary herdsman family in Yumin County, Xinjiang gave birth to a child. His father named the child Bayizhuma.

Baizhuma's birth did not bring any joy to this herdsman family. His parents were worried about their livelihood. What should they support this newborn child?

Although Bayizhuma's parents were herdsmen, there were not many cattle and sheep in his family. In addition, the erosion of the blizzards in those years, the livestock of the Bayizhuma family had long been dead and fled. The rest were left by Bayizhuma's father.

Seeing that the day of paying livestock to the commissioner once a year has come again. Once the family pays the remaining livestock, the family of three can only starve to death on the huge grassland. Fortunately, the local master saw that his family was poor and had just given birth to a child, he would be exempted from levy to his family. Perhaps this life-saving grace made Baizhuma's father often talk about repaying his kindness, so that the little Baizhuma could hear it and remember it in his heart.

In fact, Baizhuma's father's view on repaying kindness is not wrong. After all, the master did not collect his own cattle and sheep, and after a year, his own cattle and sheep have also reproduced very considerably, which has also helped him get rid of his identity as a poor herder, and the child has also grown up rapidly in this year.

The family was working hard here, but unexpectedly, Baizhuma's mother had a dream at night.

In the dream, a white-bearded old man asked her to change his son's name. After waking up from the dream, his mother also told her father the scene in the dream. Originally, Kazakhs was more admiring dreams, so he changed his son's name to "Bashbai" according to the instructions of the old man in the dream.

But it is useless to know only his family, so Bashbai's father invited friends and invited them to his home, killing cattle and sheep, treating guests to dinner, and telling him about changing his son's name. In this way, everyone on the grassland knew that the name of Bashizhuma had been abandoned, and the name of Bashibai was being used.

Since the child changed his name to Bashbai, his family's life has begun to get better and better. Although it is not a wealthy family on the grassland, it can also maintain a normal life for the family.

At that time, the pastoral areas were not as good as they are now. Children could go to school. In that era, children in the pastoral areas had no learning at all. Only the children of the chieftains or the children of the small leaders of various tribes could learn knowledge. Of course, they did not have a school. They would hire local or Han teachers to teach their children.

Because of the high learning conditions back then, the Bashbai family obviously did not meet the learning standards at all, so Bashbai could only learn some simple words from his parents.

2. Bashbai sheep

As Bashbai grew up, it was time to marry him. Under the arrangement of his parents, Bashbai got married with the same age and family background. For the sake of Bashbai, most of the cattle and sheep in the family were gone.

Fortunately, the young couple did not make a fuss after marriage, and both of them were working hard to make better at home. As Bashbai's children continued to be born, perhaps because of congenital deficiencies or too poor medical conditions, most of the children in Bashbai died prematurely, leaving only two daughters and one son alive, and no diseases were found yet.

1919, the thirty-year-old Bashbai was still not as rich as the old man in his mother's dream said, and was just an ordinary herder who could barely support his family's livelihood.

In order to give Bashibai a better development, his father proposed to separate the family. Although Bashibai was unwilling to leave his parents and find another place to live, the tribe's rules were like this. Both parents and older sons needed to follow it. In this way, Bashibai got 150 sheep and a herd of horses from his parents.

From now on, Bashbai already needs to support his wife and three children by himself, and he has also begun to be more attentive to managing the sheep and horse herds. Bashbai was not discouraged by the current poverty life, but carefully observed the changes in the sheep and horse herd every day, hoping to find a stepping stone to get rich.

Hard work pays off. Through observation, Bashbai really discovered that it was different.

In the late winter, Bashbai encountered a strong blizzard while herding sheep. In order to prevent the flock from scattering due to the arrival of the blizzard, he quickly drove the flock home. But who could have thought that the direction of the blizzard was just blocking his way home. Out of helplessness, Bashbai could only drive the flock to the nearby valley to avoid the wind and cold.

The arrival of the blizzard has shrouded the entire grassland in a vast white area.

At night, the blizzard still did not alleviate the trend of landing. In this case, Bashbai had no time to rest at all, but had to stare around at all times to prevent wolves from robbing the flock. Just as Bashbai was observing the surroundings, he suddenly found several wild public rams crawling into the flock. In order not to alarm the flock, Bashbai could only watch the public rams mate with the ewes in the flock.

The next morning, the blizzard had passed, and the public ram left. Bashbai drove the flock back to his home that he had not returned overnight, comforted his wife and children before he lay down and fell asleep.

The blizzard passed, everything was as usual, and Bashbai began to herd sheep and feed horses every day.

With the arrival of spring, the ewes in the Bashbai flock also began to give birth to cubs, but this time the cubs grew up a little differently. Other sheep had two horns, but these lambs actually had four horns, and they were even strong like argali . These sheep could even give birth to lambs twice a year. This discovery surprised Bashbai. After thinking for a moment, he knew the reason for this situation, which was the public ram last winter.

Picture | Bashbai

In order to verify his conjecture, Bashbai began to deliberately drive the ewes towards the place where the argali gathered, so that they could get pregnant and then return to the sheep pen, and set special marks on the sheep.

Sure enough, the lambs born to these ewes were all strong and strong, and these lambs Bashbai also cared for them carefully. When the sheep grew up, they were allowed to mate. Sure enough, three years later, Bashbai gained a harvest.

The 30 ewes three years ago actually breeded 350 three years later, which also made his wealth gradually accumulate.

The sheep bred by Bashbai are short in growth cycle and are fat and strong, and are more popular in the market. Therefore, his sheep can always be sold at high prices, which also makes the herdsmen around them jealous.

When he was at its peak, his sheep were everywhere in the mountains, no matter horses, cows, or camels, and such sheep were also named after the locals, in order to commemorate the Bashbai who cultivated such high-quality sheep, and also to make the local people appreciate the kindness of Bashbai.

3. Bashibai Bridge

At that time, there was an Emin River blocking between Yumin County and Tacheng . If the people between the two counties want to avoid the turbulent river water, they must go dozens of kilometers more. If they want to cross the river, they will be in danger of their lives. After all, the river is turbulent and unstable, it is easy to have problems. In order to allow the people in the two places to travel normally, a local gentry saw the business opportunity.

Picture | Bashibai Bridge

This gentry spent money to build a wooden bridge above the river surface. Whether pedestrians pass by or cattle and horses, they need to pay a bridge fee, and even send people to charge fees on one side of the bridge, otherwise they will never be allowed to pass.

The bridge fee made this gentry a lot of money, but it caused inconvenience to pedestrians and vehicles. After all, in that era when it was difficult to make money, not everyone could afford the bridge fee.

In 1940, if Bashbai wanted to go to Tacheng, he had to pass through the gentry's small wooden bridge. In desperation, he had to take his entourage to go there, but just as he was about to cross the bridge, he found that a poor herder was beaten because he could not pay the bridge fee.

When I was a child, Bashbai, who came from hard days, understood that poor life was not easy and was easily bullied. However, I didn't expect that the poor people would be beaten for crossing the bridge fee. This made Bashbai very angry, so he took out the money to say to the evil man who fought : "This is his share, for you, now you can be free here, and you will never appear here again until next year."

After Bashbai finished speaking, he helped the poor herder up and turned around and left.

After Bashibai went to Tacheng to discuss business, he immediately found Zhao Jianfeng, the chief executive of in Tacheng area. He talked to Zhao Jianfeng about the scene he had experienced and said: "I want to build a bridge on the Emin River. I hope you can serve as the engineering supervisor of the bridge and check the quality of the project construction anytime and anywhere."

Facing Bashibai's request, Zhao Jianfeng naturally agreed. After all, this is a good thing for the people of Tacheng and Yumin .

After Bashbai left Zhao Jianfeng, he turned to Yumin and invited a Russian bridge designer who lived in Yumin to design the bridge on-site.

Soon, the designer handed over the design artwork to Bashbai. Bashbai copied a copy of the design artwork and sent it to Zhao Jianfeng's office, asking him to monitor the construction according to the design artwork. After Zhao Jianfeng agreed, Bashbai quickly hired manpower and constructed it at the same time on both sides of the Emin River. Although there was a hindrance of wind and snow, the bridge was finally completed a year later, and from then on, the people no longer had to spend money to cross the bridge.

Since this bridge that brings convenience to the travel of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait was wholly built by Bashbai, this bridge is called the "Bashbai Bridge" by the locals.

4. The lenient and kind Bashbai

Although Bashbai is already very rich and has become a rich among the rich, he still has not forgotten the hard days he lived in that year. Therefore, when he saw the poor people without money to cross the bridge, he would love to build a bridge, and would not ignore it when he saw the poor at home.

Since Bashbai became a local rich man, every autumn, the poor will come to Bashbai's home from all over the place, hoping to get the help of this kind and rich man, and Bashbai has not let down the waiting of those poor people.

Bashbai will invite them to the room for meals. As long as they have the right reasons, they will help them, whether it is cattle, sheep, gold and silver, he will not hesitate to do so.

At that time, an elderly man was mentally stimulated because his family was unfilial. He wandered around the streets every day, going wherever he could eat. He just ate a hundred families of food and didn't care about it. In the end, the old man chose a good place, that is Bashbai's home.

As soon as the old man goes, Bashbai will give her warm food and clean water to drink. In this way, the old man comes here every time he is hungry.

Over time, Bashbai saw that the old woman was so pitiful, so he took the old woman to his home. Since the old man arrived at Bashbai, he has become a part of his family. Everything is free, and the old man's illness is also cured. In order not to eat and drink here for nothing, he took the initiative to help Bashbai take care of his grandchildren and grandchildren.

In addition, Bashbai also made positive contributions to the cause of fighting against Japan.

After Bashbai became rich, in the two years from 1938 to 1939, Bashbai actively assisted the anti-Japanese war and donated 200 good horses and more than 100 stones of wheat to the anti-Japanese troops. In 1940, it even assisted 500 fully equipped war horses to the Soviet Red Army. The contributions made by Bashbai against Japan have given additional attention from both China and the Soviet Union.

In addition to making contributions to the fight against Japan, Bashbai also did his best to the public welfare undertakings in his hometown.

Originally, the people of Yumin County could only use oil lamps when they were dark. Although there was electricity used outside, it was Xinjiang after all, and electricity could not be supplied. In order to solve the rare problem of people using electricity, Bashbee donated money to build the first hydropower station in his hometown, so that local factories could use electricity, so that local people would no longer have to live in the dark.

In order to give local children a chance to learn, Bashbai also donated money to build Tacheng High School, and specially hired Chinese teachers for the students to teach local students all the knowledge of Han students, greatly improving the quality of local education.

It was precisely because of Bashbai's good deeds that he won the unanimous support of the people. After liberation, Bashbai was elected as the first commissioner of the Tacheng area.

From a wealthy businessman to a local parent official, Bashbai did not forget his original intention, did not forget that he was once a member of the poor, and cared more about the people's ideas.

Once, the Tacheng area held a horse racing competition. As the largest horse breeder and commissioner of the Tacheng city, Bashbai naturally attended the event. The carefully selected horses of Bashbai also became the favorites to win the championship at that time.

Just as the referee announced the start, all the horses rushed out like arrows, and Bashbai's horse did not disappoint everyone's expectations, almost running side by side with another horse. Just as he crossed the finish line, Bashbai obviously saw that his horse was slightly inferior, but the champion of the horse racing competition still gave him his horse.

However, according to the competition regulations, the second place must give the horse racing to the first place. If Bashbai really takes the first place against his conscience as the referee said, then the real first place racing horse will be in his hands. After all, horse racing people love horses and love horses. But Bashbai did not do this, but directly exposed the referee's injustice and gave his horse to the real number one.

5. Donate fighter

1949, the People's Liberation Army entered Xinjiang, and the peace that the people of Xinjiang were looking forward to finally arrived. As the commissioner of the Tacheng Administrative Office, Bashbai warmly welcomed the People's Liberation Army into Xinjiang and personally presented gifts to the People's Liberation Army entering Xinjiang, including six and a half tons of wheat and 40 adult beef cattle. Such a gift is not bad, but it is only a small amount of money. He also sent the world's most advanced aircraft to the soldiers on the frontline during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

1950, at the order of Chairman Mao, the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea officially began. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers crossed the Yalu River and walked towards the Korean battlefield. After learning that the volunteers entered North Korea to fight, Bashbai, Bashbai, was determined to do something for the soldiers on the front line, simply sending money and meat. However, this is Xinjiang, and the way to the front line is long, which is not suitable. When he heard that the soldiers on the front line were most afraid of American plane bombing, Bashbai finally thought about what to send to the front line, and he was preparing to send the plane.

Bashbai, as a small administrative commissioner, wanted to buy a plane, which was a fantasy, but fortunately, his family was rich enough at that time.

In order to buy the world's most advanced aircraft, he found his friends in the Soviet Union and found out from his friends that the Soviet Union now has the world's most advanced jet .

After Bashbai got the answer from a friend, he began to entrust his friend to ask him to help buy the plane, no matter how much money he spent.

Picture | Bashbai shook hands with members of the condolence group to North Korea

With the help of that Soviet friend, the most advanced jet plane was finally bought back. For this plane, Bashbai spent 400 good horses, 100 cows, 4,000 sheep, and 100 taels of gold.

When the plane was transported here, Bashbai personally contacted the volunteer army and asked the volunteer army to send several soldiers who could fly the plane to the front line of to fight against the United States and aid Korea.

It is said that after the war, the plane was still in service for several years. After reaching its mileage, the plane was preserved in the Museum of Resisting U.S. Aggression and Aiding Korea and will always be admired by the world.

After all the matters of purchasing the plane were done, Bashbai could no longer hold on and he fell down.

At that time, he had already passed his sixties and it was time for him to enjoy his happiness. Therefore, he resigned from his position as a commissioner on the grounds of being in poor health and rested at home with peace of mind.

In September 1953, the Central United Front Work Department organized progressive people from all ethnic groups to visit and study in the mainland. As one of the representatives of Tacheng, Bashbai was naturally invited. Originally, his family did not agree to him to go. After all, his physical condition was not good, but he insisted on going. Unexpectedly, his condition worsened due to the discomfort of the climate and eventually died of illness in Hangzhou. Bashbai was 64 years old at that time.

Bashbai's death made all the people who visited the city give up on continuing the tour. The group brought his body back to Tacheng. His death made the people of Tacheng feel sad, and the spontaneous funeral procession lasted for several miles.

Conclusion

Bashbai is a Kazakh and a pioneer of the Kazakhs' politics. After he took over the Tacheng area, he had a positive impact on the production and life of local residents. At the same time, his existence is also the link between the two ethnic groups.

All people are responsible for the rise and fall of a country. When the war comes, Bashbai told the world with his actions, "We are a family."
