When it comes to pirates, it makes people feel chilling. However, there is a lady like this in my country who met pirates while riding a boat. At that time, the lady was not only extremely calm, but also directly reported her name. Strangely, when the pirate learned about her identity, he not only consciously returned the lady's property, but also immediately kowtowed and retreated. This legendary woman is the first female Western medicine doctor in my country's history and a pioneer of my country's feminist movement - Zhang Zhujun .

Zhang Zhujun was born in 1876 in a family of officials in Xiguan, Guangzhou. Her father Zhang Shizheng once worked in Beijing and was ranked third in the official position. Because Zhang Zhujun has been weak and sick since childhood, she began to learn Western medicine when she grew up. Zhang Zhujun has studied at Nanhua Hospital and Xiage Medical School affiliated to Boji Hospital, and graduated with excellent grades, becoming the first female Western doctor in Chinese history.

Later, with the support of her best friend Xu Peixuan , Zhang Zhujun founded the Difu Hospital in Liwan, Guangzhou, specializing in treating the poor people. This is also the first Western hospital founded by Chinese people in Guangdong, and she herself became the first woman to establish a hospital in my country. Then Zhang Zhujun and Xu Peixuan opened the Nanfu Hospital.

Later, Zhang Zhujun joined Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary team. She also initiated the establishment of the China Red Cross Society and the Shanghai Red Cross Rescue Team to rescue the wounded at the risk of her life. She also disclosed the information on the deployment of the Qing army that she collected to the Revolutionary Army. In addition to saving lives and helping the wounded, Zhang Zhujun has also been actively participating in the feminist movement.

Zhang Zhujun not only made public remarks about the feminist movement in the newspaper, but also simply renamed the Nanfu Hospital he founded as Yuxian Girls' College. She taught and practiced medicine, which was more than six years earlier than the women's normal school and primary school charter issued by the Qing government.

11 In April 1904, Zhang Zhujun came to Shanghai and also founded the Women's Education Insurance Fund in Shanghai, calling on women to unite and become stronger by learning cultural knowledge. After the founding of the Republic of China, in 1912, Zhang Zhujun also participated in the establishment of the Women's Political Suffering Alliance of the Republic of China, becoming an advocate and backbone of the feminist movement.
