In the 1950s and 1960s, my country's transportation and communication levels were limited, and there were too many districts and counties under its jurisdiction, which instead increased the difficulty of management. Therefore, in 1965, Xifeng County and Kaiyang County in Zunyi District were included in the management of Anshun District and were adjusted to 1 county-level city and 12 counties under its jurisdiction. In the late 1960s, all special zones across the country were renamed to regions, and Zunyi special zones were renamed to Zunyi Region, and the jurisdiction remained unchanged.
