  Huzhou is an ancient city in Jiangnan with a history of more than 2,000 years. In the fifteenth year of King Kaolie of Chu (248 BC), Huang Xie moved to the place where he built a city and first established a county of Huacheng, so he was named after the lot of grass. In the second year of Renshou in the Sui Dynasty (602 AD), the prefecture was established and was named Huzhou after the shore of Taihu . The name of Huzhou began from then on. After liberation, Zhejiang No. 1 Special Zone, Jiaxing Special Zone and Jiaxing area were successively established, and the capital was located in Huzhou for a long time. In October 1983, the city was revoked, Jiaxing area was revoked, and Huzhou and Jiaxing were established. Huzhou City is under the jurisdiction of Deqing , Changxing, and Anji , urban and suburbs.  In 223 BC, Qin destroyed Chu and changed "Zhicheng" to "Wucheng", which was named after the Wujian and Chenglin clans. Wucheng County is established, belonging to Kuaiji County .
