Everyone knows that Zhang Xueliang and the Kwantung Army of Japan had murdered his father because of the "Huanggutun Incident", but few people know that Zhang Shaoshuai and the Japanese Kwantung Army have a bitter hatred of murder.

Zhang's Aizi got seriously ill and seek medical advice

After Zhang Xueliang married Yu Fengzhi in 1915, they gave birth to the eldest daughter Zhang Luying, the eldest son Zhang Luyun, and the second son Zhang Luyi. In the spring of 1920, the third son of Zhang Xueliang and Yu Fengzhi was also born. Zhang Zuolin personally named the grandson Zhang Luqi. This child not only won Zhang Zuolin's favor, but also Zhang Xueliang and his wife were introduced as their beloved. The reason is that Zhang Luqi looks cool with Zhang Xueliang, handsome and gentle, since childhood, honest and kind, talented, and smarter than his two brothers.

In the autumn of 1929, Zhang Luqi, who was academically motivated, suddenly contracted a serious illness. Cough at first, then fever, severe fever up to 39℃. Zhang Xueliang had just inherited his father's business and presided over the military and administration of the three provinces in Northeast China. Although he has a lot of opportunities, nothing can worry him more than the illness of his beloved young son. In order to treat Zhang Luqi, Zhang Xueliang and his wife did not hesitate to hire famous doctors in the three northeastern provinces to make various treatments.

The military medical officer of Zhang Zuolin era Wang Shaoyuan was Zhang Xueliang's most trusted doctor in his early years, but at this time the elderly medical officer Wang was also helpless. Almost all foreign western doctors in Shenyang City were invited, but no Japanese doctors were hired. However, these foreign doctors tried everything and Zhang Luqi's illness did not get any better. After the fever persisted for more than a month, he fell into a coma again.

At the beginning of November, a Shenyang old Chinese doctor named Ma Erqin, introduced by the military medical officer Ma Jiyu (he is the uncle of Ma medical officer), personally came to treat Zhang Luqi. Ma Erqin believes that Zhang Luqi is probably suffering from typhoid fever. However, after Ma Erqin took a few traditional Chinese medicine treatments, Zhang Luqi, who was critically ill, had a turnaround. As her high fever gradually became lighter, she was able to eat a little.

At the beginning of December of that year, Zhang Luqi still had cough symptoms, and TCM could not correctly diagnose the crux of his cough after a long time through pulse diagnosis. So an old general who was trusted by Zhang Xueliang strongly advocated sending Zhang Luqi to the "Yangde Hospital" (the only hospital in Shenyang with an X-ray machine) for lung X-rays.

Zhang Xueliang was originally assigned to Fengzhi

"Yangde Hospital" is a hospital run by a Japanese doctor. The dean is Hirono Sanda. He was a talented student who graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo in his early years. He came to Fengtian to practice medicine. Larger. When Yu Fengzhi heard that Zhang Luqi was going to be sent to a Japanese hospital for X-ray, he was upset and immediately objected. Zhang Xueliang is also suspicious, because he is a Japanese doctor, so he is three points wary. Just as Zhang Xueliang's decision was untimely, the old general of the Feng Clan who had a personal relationship with Hirono Sanda made a statement again, and pledged to protect Hirono Sanda's medical ethics.

X-ray machine suddenly exploded

On a northerly morning in early December, Zhang Xueliang sent military medical officer Ma Jiyu, guard Zhang Ruzhou, Yuan Fengtai and others to the south by two cars. "Yangde Hospital" in Manchuria Railway Area. Because it was Zhang Xueliang's third son, Hirono Sanda paid special attention to it. He deliberately asked Zhang Luqi to clean the X-ray chest inside and outside. In the morning, except for Zhang Xueliang's three sons, all the patients who sought medical treatment had delayed diagnosis and treatment. The entire chest X-ray room only accepts one patient Zhang Luqi. At 9 o'clock in the morning, the attending doctor Kawashima Jishige and a female nurse (also a Japanese) pushed Zhang Luqi into the chest X-ray room and arranged to sit in front of the X-ray machine. All the accompanying persons, including medical officer Ma Jiyu, guards Zhang Ruzhou, Yuan Fengtai, etc., were dissuaded from waiting in the chest X-ray room. Hirono Sanda personally took care of him outside, and his demeanor was particularly cordial, for fear of neglecting the escorts sent by Zhang Xueliang. Ma Jiyu and the guards both wanted to go in to serve Zhang Luqi, who had not recovered from his illness, but Hirono Sanda resolutely refused to let these escorts into the room on the grounds that X-ray rays are lethal, and non-patients are inhumane. Just as Medical Officer Ma Jiyu and several guards were waiting outside the chest X-ray room, they suddenly heard a loud noise coming from the X-ray room, as if a time bomb suddenly exploded, and there was silence inside and outside.

Just when the doctor Ma and others yelled badly, a sharp sound in the chest X-ray room'S child cried, and then someone ran around in horror and shouted. When Medical Officer Ma and a few guards rushed in, they saw a tragic and bloody scene in astonishment: Zhang Luqi threw herself in front of the bursting chest scanner, with blood on her face and chest, and she was already unconscious. Looking at the two Japanese men and women, although their faces were also panicked, they were nothing more than exploding dust on their snow-white coats.

"What the hell is going on?" Ma Jiyu and a group of armed guards picked up Zhang Luqi, who had died in a panic, and questioned Hirono Sanda and other Japanese medical staff. However, Hirono Sanda pretended to be surprised by this, falsely claiming that the glass plate exploded when the chest finder just purchased from China suddenly caught cold. When Zhang Xueliang and his wife heard the bad news in the Marshal's Mansion and saw Lu Qi who was transported back, the child was already unconscious. The doctors in the mansion made emergency rescue overnight. Eventually, Zhang Luqi's body was too close to the X-ray machine when he exploded in the chest X-ray room. As a result, the unhealed child was hit by glass shards, so he went to the handsome mansion that night!

Zhang Xueliang (middle) with his two younger brothers

Zhang Xueliang’s new hatred and old hatred came to his heart, and he never dreamed that the Japanese Kwantung Army would kill his father a year after his father was killed. He died unexpectedly in the "Yangde Hospital" controlled by the Japanese Kwantung Army. He regretted that under such a complicated political situation, he rashly sent Zhang Luqi, who had already improved, into the tiger's mouth. Subsequently, Zhang Xueliang sent personnel to the Japanese Consulate in Shenyang to ask for a thorough investigation of the cause of the explosion of the "Yangde Hospital" chest X-ray machine, and asked the director of the hospital Hirono Mita to submit a convincing accident report and seriously pursue the responsible person. But to Zhang Xueliang's disappointment, the Japanese consulate and the "Yangde Hospital" used various excuses to shirk their guilt. They sent personnel to the handsome mansion to mourn the unfortunate death of Zhang Luqi, while pretending to express regret about the incident, they delayed submitting a report on the cause of the explosion.

After the "September 18th" Incident in 1931, Zhang Xueliang had speculated that the sudden death of Aiko was inextricably linked to the Japanese Kwantung Army, which was eyeing the three provinces of the East at the time, but the Kwantung Army of Japan refused to admit it. The case was caused by them.

The mystery was solved 60 years later.

In 1989, Zhang Xueliang met with a Japanese journalist named Akira Ikemiyagi in Taipei after ending half a century of confinement and regaining his freedom. . Before this famous "Daily News" photojournalist came to Taiwan to meet with Zhang Xueliang, he had always been concerned about Zhang Xueliang's safety for decades. He gave Zhang Xueliang a copy of the secret files of the Kwantung Army collected over the years, and Zhang Xueliang related him through these. The Japanese top-secret archives of Japan found the answer in amazement.

It turned out that in the winter of 1929, the Japanese Kwantung Army learned that Zhang Xueliang was going to send his son to the "Yangde Hospital" for medical treatment. The Japanese Consul General in Shenyang came forward overnight and bought the "Yangde Hospital" with threats and inducements. He then secretly arranged a Japanese spy to pack a bomb in the X-ray chest X-ray machine, and the spy was manipulated behind the scenes to detonate Zhang Xueliang’s third son, Zhang Luqi. What's sad is that Zhang Xueliang was already in his old age when he solved this bloody mystery. Therefore, Zhang Xueliang said at the beginning when he was interviewed by Japan’s NHK Broadcasting and Television Company in Taiwan the following year: “I hate Japan!”
