02 League members and young people participated in the Northern Expedition
In July 1926, the revolutionary government of Guangdong officially launched the Northern Expedition with the support of the Communist Party of China. The League Central Committee immediately responded to the party's call and held the third enlarged meeting to mobilize and organize the majority of youth members to participate in the Northern Expedition.
At the same time, the student movement developed rapidly. Quanzhou reorganized the student self-government associations of each school into the student union, and jointly established the County's Student Federation. Secondly, progressive young people have integrated with the workers and peasants, and many trade unions and peasant associations in various places have been quickly established and developed. Quanzhou young Communist Party members and Communist Youth League members, as well as left-wing Kuomintang youths, have gone deep into the workers and peasants, and established establishments in suburban areas and Tong'an and other places. After the Northern Expeditionary Army entered Fuzhou, Fuzhou workers organized many trade unions. The Fuzhou Special Committee of the Communist Party of China also sent a group of farmers' children and students to go deep into the rural areas in the suburbs of Fuzhou to mobilize and organize the villagers.The mass struggle against imperialism also surged rapidly. In January 1927, young people in Fuzhou rose up one after another to respond to the people's struggle in Hankou, Jiujiang, and students in Xiamen called all walks of life to fight against the British and the Fengzhi warlords, Japan. The lackeys of imperialism colluded with the British Imperialist Conference at this time to seriously publicize the ins and outs of the Hankou-Jiujiang massacre, and issued a message to the people of Fujian, calling on the people of the province to rise up, oppose the ravages of imperialism, and overthrow imperialism. Fuzhou students rallied and destroyed Japanese stores, confiscated and burned large quantities of foreign goods, and banned foreign goods from being unloaded at the port.
