Recently, watching the revolutionary history of Qiongya Column, I have a lot of emotion.
This People's Armed Forces was born in the flames of the Great Revolution. Under the leadership of General Feng Baiju, it led Hainan's military and civilians in a desperate struggle against all reactionary forces.
From the Agrarian Revolutionary War, to the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, to the War of Liberation, after losing contact with the central government, I insisted on fighting on isolated islands and fighting for 23 years.
Its length, scope, and intensity of struggle can be described as arduous.
But in the end they persevered, ushered in the dawn of victory, and created a miracle in modern Chinese history.
The Qiongya Revolution has been able to persist in the red flag for 23 years. It has existed from its founding to liberation. Why was the Northeast Anti-Union League been extinguished by the Japanese invaders after 14 years of persistence?
The red flag of the Qiongya Column will not fall in 23 years
First look at the living environment of these two guerrillas.
The Qiongya Column lives on Hainan Island, at the southernmost tip of the motherland, surrounded by the ocean.
This has added resistance to the connection between Hainan Island and the outside world. It is almost isolated from the world, and it is easy to lose contact with the Party Central Committee.
But this also happens to nurture the Hainanese people's island consciousness. Without outside assistance, they must rely on their own strength.
In such a state of isolation and helplessness, Hainan's military and civilians are bound to work hard. is the reason why lonely island heroes such as Feng Baiju, Wu Kezhi, and Chen Wuying continue to emerge.

In addition, Hainan Island is a tropical region with a panoramic view of China. The ripening period of melons and fruits is short, and many wild fruits and coconuts can grow on the mountain.
In July 1932, in order to completely eliminate the Qiongya Column, the Kuomintang Army sent a special battalion with the cooperation of the Air Force to launch the second "encirclement and suppression" of the Qiongya Revolutionary Base.
Faced with a difficult situation, Feng Baiju and others led the soldiers into the dense forests of Mu Rui Mountain, and launched a arduous guerrilla war with the enemy.
Because of the encirclement and suppression of the enemy, hunger, cold, and disease made them almost into a desperate situation.
In this state, they rely on the edible plants in the mountains to survive. In the mountains, they found sweet potatoes grown by farmers. In the valleys, they can quench their thirst by drinking spring water.
Although there are only 26 people left after more than 100 people, the fire and capital of the revolution have been preserved.

Let’s look at the environment of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Army.
In winter, minus thirty or forty degrees Celsius is barren, and the human living environment has been greatly challenged.
Soldiers walking in the snow will leave clear footprints. A fire and smoke in the vast snow will also be quickly spotted, easily revealing their identity.
It can be said that the living environment of the Northeast Anti-League is worse than that of the Qiongya Column.
But the enemy still couldn't catch Yang Jingyu.
Yang Jingyu, commander-in-chief of the First Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces, a well-known anti-Japanese general.
Northeast Anti-Union, he was the only one left in the end of the resistance. Some young fighters died heroically for the revolution, some teams were broken up by the enemy, some surrendered, and some rebelled.
But in the end, even if he was left alone, he still had to fight to the end.
General Yang Jingyu is a tall man,After his death, people knew that he was not 1.8 meters, but 1.92 meters.
Anti-Japanese hero Yang Jingyu
Such a big man, but his stature is extremely strong, he will disappear after jumping in the snow.
The Japanese invaders are relatively short in stature, and when the snow is deep, they directly submerge their knees and run more difficult, so they can't catch up with General Yang Jingyu.
Not only that, there are many secret camps and cabins in the deep mountain and old forest of the Northeast Anti-Japanese War.
The soldiers will put food and firewood in the wooden house, so as to ensure that they will not die from starvation and freeze.
But the sad thing is that it was not the Japanese who finally put General Yang Jingyu in desperation, but the traitors around him.
General Yang Jingyu
The first traitor, named Cheng Bin.
Cheng Bin was the person General Yang Jingyu trusted the most. He was the commander of the First Division of the First Army of the Anti-Union Army.
In 1938, under the lure of the enemy, Cheng Bin finally led his troops to the enemy and formed the Cheng Bin advance team.
In order to be able to capture his boss Yang Jingyu and make great contributions, led the crusade team to destroy the secret camp.
Cheng Bin knows that only by destroying all the food and firewood in the secret camp, then in the harsh environment of minus 30, Yang Jingyu will lose the guarantee of survival and lose the battle.
The second traitor, named Zhang Xiufeng.
Zhang Xiufeng, both parents died since he was a child. He was next to Yang Jingyu. He was raised as a son by Yang Jingyu, and later served as the platoon leader of the military security platoon.
February 1940,Under the temptation of the Japanese and puppets, he brought secret military documents, guns, and funds from the Resistance to defect to the enemy.
As Yang Jingyu's personal guard, Zhang Xiufeng is very familiar with Yang Jingyu's activities and hiding place.
This flattering man also provided the enemy with a route for Yang Jingyu to break through.
In the end, Yang Jingyu died heroically on February 23, and this person rebelled in early February.
Traitor Cheng Bin
The third traitor, named Zhang Xiruo.
Zhang Xiruo was originally a special-class machine gun shooter of the First Division of the First Army of the Northeast Anti-Allied Forces, known as the sharpshooter.
But after all, he aimed his gun at his own person.
After Zhang Xiruo rebelled, he shot General Yang Jingyu under the order of Takashiki Kishiya, the head of the Police Department of Tonghua Province.
The fourth traitor, named Zhao Tingxi.
Zhao Tingxi can be said to be the person who finally reported on Yang Jingyu. He is a villager in Baoan Village, Mengjiang County.
However, when Zhao Tingxi discovered Yang Jingyu when he was going up the mountain to chop wood, Yang Jingyu said to him:
"My fellow, please go down the mountain and buy me some steamed buns and buy a pair of cotton shoes. I will give you the money."
also urged: "Don't tell the Japanese".
Zhao Tingxi was so surprised to find Yang Jingyu in his heart, he persuaded:
"I think you should surrender. Now Manchukuo will not kill those who surrender."
At that time, Yang Jingyu had not eaten for several days. He had frostbite on his face, ears, and hands. He also lost one of his cotton shoes, but he still possessed strong willpower and revolutionary spirit.
He solemnly said to Zhao Tingxi:
""My fellow, we Chinese have all surrendered, so is there still China?"

What is sad is that Yang Jingyu's magnificent and earth-shaking words did not impress the traitor without soul and blood.
Zhao Tingxi went down the mountain in a hurry, and quickly reported to the enemy Yang Jingyu’s position on the mountain.
General Yang Jingyu was betrayed by the four traitors and sacrificed tragically. After his sacrifice, the enemy was curious that he was there. What does the mountain rely on for survival?
Later when he opened his belly and found that there were only bark and cotton wool inside, even the Japanese were in awe of it.
It can be said that the reason why the Northeast Anti-Fighting League was extinguished is that those who have long lost their souls. And bloody people, as long as they can survive, they can sell their souls and betray their compatriots.
They have long lost the spirit of unity and hard work.
On the contrary, the Qiongya Column.
General Feng Baiju, the leader of , has a famous saying: "Mountains do not Tibetans, and Tibetans."
Feng Baiju was able to lead the Qiongya people to fight alone for 23 years. It was relying on the 3 million Qiongya soldiers and civilians to sincerely support the revolution.
A banner of the people of Qiongya
The food, clothing, shelter, and transportation of the revolutionary troops come from the people, and the weapons of the revolutionary troops come from the people. All the activities of the revolutionary troops are carried out under the cover of the people with their lives.
For the victory of the revolution, after the arrest of General Feng Baiju's first wife Feng Huiqiu, and his second wife Wang Huizhou, they remained unshakable and unwilling to betray their comrades no matter how severe the enemy was tortured.
In the end, he was steadfast and unyielding, and he was brave and righteous.
This is the blood of a nation. As long as our compatriots sincerely support the revolution, Feng Baiju can lead the people to victory.
In December 1949, the Qiongya Column won one after another victory against encirclement and suppression, and also created an excellent record of destroying one regiment and defeating one division.
The enemy with poor skills began to be anxious, and began to use rewards and lures to buy traitors in an attempt to capture Feng Baiju and disintegrate the Qiongya column.
The enemy who once set the price to 50,000 gold coupons, after all, underestimated the people's support for General Feng Baiju.
Feng Baiju
After Feng Baiju knew it, he also said humorously:
"The price of the enemy is getting higher and higher. During the ten years of civil war, one thousand Guangyang, Japanese invaders and 10,000, and now another 50,000 Golden round, it’s a pity that no one wants to receive a reward."
"It's a pity that no one wants to receive a reward." Faced with huge bonuses, the masses were not moved. Just one sentence can tell how powerful the people are. Unity, how high is the mass support for Feng Baiju.
This is the fundamental reason why the Qiongya Column can insist on the 23 red flag.
Our Chairman Mao said during the Agrarian Revolution:
"What is the real copper wall and iron wall? It is the masses. It is the masses of millions who sincerely support the revolution."
General Feng Baiju
Although the Northeast Anti-Japanese League was extinguished, General Yang Jingyu used his entire life to show the world that this is the backbone of China, and this is the bloody nature of the Chinese people.
As long as one person refuses to sit and wait for death,There is hope for this nation.
During the most difficult period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, geologist Mr. Ding Wenjiang said:
"As long as the few among the few, the outstanding among the outstanding, and refuse to sit still, there is always hope for this nation."
Although General Yang Jingyu finally died heroically under the betrayal of the four traitors, the Northeast Anti-Resistance League persisted for 14 years and was extinguished.
But as long as there is a leader like Yang Jingyu who is outstanding and a few among the few, this nation will always have hope.
Why are the 1.4 billion Chinese people so united today?
Because we have leaders with firm beliefs.
We have hardworking and dedicated workers.
We have patriotic and brave defenders, we are vigorous young people, we have mature and stable middle-aged people, and we have mature and intelligent adults.
Everything they create is the China we love!
