Before the battle of Xiangfan broke out, Chiang Kai-shek had no one available, so he could only transfer Kang Ze to Xiangfan, and Dong Yisan followed Kang Ze to guard Xiangfan.
Xiangfan has an important geographical location and has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times. Therefore, Chiang Kai-shek sent his trusted Kangze to guard Xiangfan. Soon after being captured, Dong Yisan was imprisoned in the Gongdelin War Criminals Management Center to be reformed.
