What everyone remembers about Sima Zhong is his "silliness". The joke "Why not eat minced meat" has been ridiculed by future generations for thousands of years. This joke does not completely mean that he is mentally retarded, it only means that he has been seriously separated from the masses by living in the palace for a long time.
Sima Zhong's fate was not good. After becoming emperor in 290 AD, he was assisted by Taifu Yang Jun. Queen Jia Nanfeng later persecuted Yang Jun and sidelined Sima Zhong, and power fell into the hands of Sister Jia.
Sister Jia did all the immoral things and triggered the "Eight Kings Rebellion". Sima Zhong was held hostage by various kings in the troubled times, deposed the emperor, and pretended to be the "Tai Shang Emperor".
Later, King of the East China Sea Sima Yue welcomed Sima Zhong back to Luoyang and became emperor for the second time. In 307 AD, Emperor Hui of Jin was poisoned to death by Sima Yue, ending his miserable and useless life.
Tang ZhongzongLi Xian

Tang Zhongzong Li Xian was the seventh son of GaozongLi Zhi. He ascended the throne in 683 AD. After one year of reigning, he was deposed by his biological mother Wu Zetian and deposed as King of Luling. He was then placed under house arrest in Junzhou, Fangzhou, Hubei and other places, far away from the center of power.
In 705 AD, Wu Zetian was seriously ill. Zhang Jianzhi, Li Dan and others launched the " Dragon Coup ", forcing Wu Zetian to pass the throne to Li Xian.
After Li Xian was restored to power, he reused Queen Weishi and allowed her to participate in government affairs. Unexpectedly, Empress Wei wanted to imitate Wu Zetian and become emperor. On July 3, 710 AD, she and her daughter Princess Anle killed Li Xian with poisoned wine and took over the power herself.
Li Xian became emperor twice, but was ruined at the hands of his three closest women. One is the biological mother, the other is the wife who shares the same bed, and the other is the exposed little cotton-padded jacket. His fate is really tragic.
Tang Ruizong Li Dan

Li Dan was born to Wu Zetian and was the younger brother of Li Xian. After Wu Zetian deposed Li Xian in 684 AD, she made her fourth son Li Dan the emperor, named Ruizong of Tang Dynasty. Wu Zetian listened behind the curtain and Li Dan became a puppet emperor.
After Wu Zetian officially proclaimed himself emperor, he changed Li Dan's surname to Wu, called Wu Lun , and was imprisoned in the palace.
Li Dan is a loser, but he has a capable son, he is Li Longji. On July 21, 710 AD, Linzi King Li Longji and Princess Taiping launched a coup, killing Queen Wei and Princess Anle, and then helped Li Dan proclaim himself emperor again.
Li Dan served as emperor for two years and abdicated the throne to the crown prince Li Longji in 712 AD. It seems that Li Dan is not confused. He copied the past events of Gaozu Li Yuan Zen in Taizong Li Shimin to avoid any mishaps.
Li Dan became emperor twice, and he only really had the rights for two years, and it was given to him by the son of a highly accomplished emperor. It was a wise move for him to take the initiative to meditate. It seems that Li Dan is familiar with court struggles.
Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen

In 1435 AD, Ming Xuanzong Zhu Zhanji died of illness. Prince Zhu Qizhen came to the throne as Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty. After he became emperor, he reused the eunuch Wang Zhen who had served him growing up.
Wang Zhen's power reached its peak. In 1449 AD, when the Walas invaded, Wang Zhen encouraged Zhu Qizhen's imperial commander to personally conquer the country. Because Wang Zhen invited the emperor to visit his hometown on the way to show off to his father and fellow villagers. Unexpectedly, it delayed the trip and led to death.
When the emperor and his entourage walked to the civil fort , the Wala army caught up, killed Wang Zhen, and captured Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen.
After Yingzong was captured, his younger brother Zhu Qiyu was helped to the throne by Yu Qian and others. Later, the leader of Wala also released Zhu Qizhen to return to the court first, but was placed under house arrest in Nangong by his younger brother.
In 1457 AD, general Shi Heng and eunuch Cao Jixiang launched the " Seize the Gate Change" to support Zhu Qizhen's restoration. In this way, Zhu Qizhen became the fourth person in history to proclaim himself emperor for the second time.
The Last Emperor Puyi

Puyi served as emperor three times in his life, was ousted three times, and had no children in his life. He was actually miserable enough.
In 1908 AD, Emperor Guangxu and Empress Dowager Cixi passed away.Puyi, who was only three years old, ascended the throne as Emperor Xuantong. Due to his young age and inability to govern, his biological father Zaifeng took over as regent.

Child Boyi
After the success of the 1911 Revolution in 1912, the 7-year-old Puyi was forced to abdicate, but he could stay in the Forbidden City. All expenses were provided by the Republic of China government.
In 1917, Zhang Xun restored and supported Puyi's restoration on July 1. On July 12, Zhang Xun was defeated, and Puyi, who had been emperor for 12 days, abdicated again.
In 1924, Feng Yuxiang launched the "Beijing Coup" and directly drove Puyi out of the Forbidden City. Then Puyi went to Tianjin to "take refuge".

Puyi and Wanrong
Puyi particularly hated the Republic of China government because they overthrew the and Qing Dynasty .
When Puyi was in Tianjin, it happened that Sun Dianying dug his family's ancestral grave again, which deepened his resentment towards the Republic of China government.
The Japanese took advantage of this. They drew a big cake for Puyi and became a puppet emperor under the inducement.

Puyi was controlled by the Soviet army
From 1934 to 1945, Puyi proclaimed himself emperor in Manchu and was Kant emperor. After Japan's defeat, Puyi was captured by the Soviet army. In 1946, he testified at the Far East Military Tribunal, proving that he had been at the mercy of the Japanese and actually admitted that he was a puppet.
The last emperor proclaimed himself emperor three times and was driven out three times. He has proclaimed himself emperor three times and lost real power three times. Do you think he is miserable? Although he was married four times and had five women, he was sterile and did not even have children. Do you think he is miserable? His ancestral grave was dug up, but he still dared to be angry and dare not speak out. Do you think he was miserable?
Conclusion: In short, these five people who were emperors in Chinese history actually did not live a happy life. They live in constant fear. Sima Zhong was held hostage by various princes and might lose his life at any time. Li Xian and Li Dan were no better. When the brothers were under house arrest, they were afraid that Wu Zetian would eradicate them. After Zhu Qizhen was captured, he was worried that he would break up his vote first. After being imprisoned by his younger brother, he was worried that he would be killed at any time. Sometimes, being an ordinary person is also a kind of happiness.
