Cangjie , whose original surname was Hougang and whose name was Jie, commonly known as Cangjie's ancestor, also known as Shihuang clan, also known as Cangwang and Cangsheng. It is recorded that Cangjie was the Left Historian who created characters during the Huangdi period. He was inspired by the footprints of birds and beasts, and was classified into different categories, and collected, sorted and used them. He played an important role in the process of creating Chinese characters and was respected as the "saint of creating characters".

Cangjie, in ancient books, Cangjie "has the dragon face and the four eyes, and has the wisdom and virtue." According to legend, he was the left historian of Huangdi in the late primitive society of China, Cangjie was the left historian and Ju Song was the right historian. Inspired by the footprints of birds and beasts, Cangjie concentrated the wisdom of the working people and worked hard for decades to collect and organize the hieroglyphic symbols circulated among his ancestors and promote and use them. The characters created by Cangjie are one of the characters referring to things, such as "up and down"; the second is figurative characters, such as "sun and moon"; the third is phonography characters, such as "jiang and river"; the fourth is pictographic characters, such as "wu and Xin"; the fifth is transliteration characters, such as "lao and kiao"; and the sixth is false borrowing characters, such as "ling, Chang". It refers to the text of a thing, which is above and below. It refers to pictographic characters, the sun is full and the moon is in decline, and it is imitated by its shape. The day when Cangjie created the characters, the whole country was jubilant and moved God. He dropped the millet like rain, which scared the ghosts and monsters to cry at night. The Han Dynasty's "Huainanzi" recorded it as "the sky rains and the ghosts cry at night."
In another "Hetu Jade Edition", it is recorded that Cangjie was a tribal leader who used Yangwu as his capital and established himself as the emperor, and named Cang Emperor. (4637 BC) was the first year of Cang Emperor.
When Cangjie was in power, he went south to hunt his territory. Emperor Cang climbed the mountain of Yangxu, then followed Luoshui and found a spiritual turtle carrying a book in Luosi in Yuanhu (also known as Xuanhu). Therefore, Cangjie worshipped Luoshu . Luoxian is located in Luoning County, Luoyang City. There is still a Cangjie Creation Platform in the northwest of Xinghua Township, Luoning County. It was built by later generations to commemorate Emperor Cangjie. In ancient times thousands of years ago, the emergence of the River Map and Luoshu heralds the changes in the celestial phenomena and the birth of a new emperor on earth. Because many of the ancestors of civilizations in history have had a story with it, and Cangjie is one of them.
Cangjie reigned for forty-two years and died in the 42nd year of Cangjie (4596 BC), at the age of seventy-one. After his death, his body was buried in Lixiang, and his honored name was Emperor Cang.
In the distant ancient primitive society era, human beings gradually developed from "piling stones to remember things", "knotting ropes to remember things" to "symbol text". Ancient symbolic characters have been passed down for about 5,000 years in Chinese history, and early ancient cultural records were basically recorded in symbolic characters.
Cangjie's achievements lies in the fact that he widely collected folk graphic texts and organized them, creating systematic hieroglyphs. Historical records: "Emperor Cang was born and able to write. When he received the characters from the River Pictures, he exhausted the changes of heaven and earth, looked up at the round and curved star of Kui, looked down at the turtle pattern, bird feathers, mountains and rivers, and created characters. There are many ruins commemorating Cangjie across the country, including Cangjie Mausoleum, Cangjie Temple , and character building platform.
