One day in August 1979, Shuyao Village carpenter Fan Yougen went to Donghai County Tuofeng Middle School to sell desks. After selling the desks, he sat in front of the township government gate and chatted with several people. During the chat, a man asked him: Where are you from? Fan Yougen said that he was from Shuyao Village, Sangxu Township, Shuyang. His words were heard by a man about fifty years old not far away. He approached Fan Yougen and asked, "Comrade, you are from Shuyao. Do you know that Luyao?" "I know, the residents of one or two groups in our Shuyao Village are Luyaozhuang." Fan Yougen said. "My name is Zhang Weishu, the Party Secretary of Tuofeng Township, I am fifty-five years old this year." Secretary Zhang introduced himself. "In Luyao, I have a comrade-in-arms named Lu Hanshu in the same trench. He has been thirty-one years of sacrifice. I have not found his relatives yet?" Zhang Weishu continued.
At this time, Zhang Weishu's tears flowed out of his eyes, as if he had returned to the battlefield of war. A young soldier conveyed the company commander's order in the trenches, braved the guns and bullets, rushed in front of the entire company, and followed him closely; when camping, he stood guard for the soldiers, not afraid of hardship or sacrifice, and his happy and worry-free face appeared in front of Zhang Weishu again.
"In a pursuit battle, he captured eleven Kuomintang soldiers alone and was praised by the Legion headquarters; in the attack war of liberating Tianjin, a shell roared over, he covered me desperately and lay on me. I was saved, but he sacrificed his life for me." Zhang Weishu said and cried out. Before the battle to liberate Tianjin began, he took out three silver dollars and a jade ring to me, and told me that if I sacrificed, I would hand it over to his parents and relatives no matter what. I have not fulfilled his last wish yet, I am really not a human being. "Zhang Weishu said in tears. He begged Fan Yougen to help him find Lu Hanshu's relatives. Fan Yougen was moved and agreed readily to help Zhang Weishu complete the task of finding the martyr Lu Hanshu.
After Fan Yougen returned home, he went to Luyao to investigate. The old people said that there was Lu Hanshu. After joining the army, he went to the Northeast with the troops and never came back. There was also an old man saying that he had worked as a cadre in the Northeast, got married and settled his family. He had no relatives in Luyaozhuang, so there was no need to come back.
