In fact, Yu Ruomu is not her real name. During the revolutionary period, for the safety of her family in the Kuomintang-controlled area, many revolutionary patriots often changed their names. Yu Ruomu's original name was Yu Shigu, also known as Yu Luhua.
On April 15, 1919, Yu Ruomu was born in Qijia Village, Ruyi Street, Jinan, Shandong Province. According to family ranking, her generation is of the "Shi" generation, so her father named her Yu Shigu.
Yu Ruomu's family is a well-known scholarly family. His father, Yu Mingxin, studied at Shanda University Hall in his early years. Later, he went to Japan to study at Waseda University . After returning to China, he served as the principal of Shandong No. 1 Normal School and was a famous educator during the Republic of China.
was born in such a family. Yu Ruomu naturally received a good education since he was a child. In 1932, Yu Ruomu was admitted to Shandong Provincial No. 1 Girls' Middle School with excellent results. The next year, because the whole family moved to Beijing, Yu Ruomu transferred to Peking Liangji Girls' Middle School to study.
1935, 16-year-old Yu Ruomu was admitted to the high school of Peking City No. 1 Girls' Middle School.
At that time, Japan's invasion of China continued to intensify, and it planned to plan " Five North China Provinces Autonomous ". As the son and daughter of China, Yu Ruomu could not stay outside it. On December 9, Yu Ruomu took to the streets with many young people to oppose the Japanese imperialist invasion of China. This is the famous " 12.9 Movement ".
Shortly afterwards, Yu Ruomu joined the Communist Youth League and the Communist Party of China, and since then embarked on the revolutionary path.
At that time, the revolutionary holy land Yan'an was a place that many young people yearned for, and Yu Ruomu was no exception. In October 1937, according to the organization, 18-year-old Yu Ruomu and his sister Yu Shikun came to Yan'an together, and her name was also changed from Yu Shikun to Yu Ruomu.
Unexpectedly, shortly after coming to Yan'an, Yu Ruomu gained an "unexpected" love.
On November 29, 1937, a grand welcoming ceremony was held at a simple airport in Yan'an. Chairman Mao delivered a speech: "Today, Marx brought us heavenly soldiers and generals." It turned out that Chen Yun came to Yan'an from Xinjiang. At the airport, Yu Ruomu met Chen Yun for the first time. In this regard, Yu Ruomu later recalled:
"I am relatively close to the rostrum, about three or four meters, so everyone on the rostrum was all the time. I can see it clearly. Comrade Chen Yun said that his Shanghai accent was the Shanghai Mandarin accent, which left a deep impression on me, and his politician style also left a deep impression on us. "
At the subsequent meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Chen Yun not only became a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, but also replaced Bogu as the Minister of the Central Organization Department.
After this meeting, Chen Yun devoted himself to the revolutionary work. Perhaps because of his work being too tired, he had an old problem of bleeding from . The organization decided to go to Shaanxi North Public School to find someone to do nursing work. After research, Yu Ruomu became the final candidate because Yu Ruomu is a party member, has a clear background and is a very reliable candidate.
After Yu Ruomu came to the cave where Chen Yun lived, he set up a table at the entrance of the cave, mainly to pass on the message for Chen Yun. When Chen Yun needed a doctor, Yu Ruomu was responsible for shouting. In this way, after more than a month of getting along, Chen Yun's condition gradually recovered. One day, Chen Yun said to Ruomu:
"I am an honest person, and I always do things honestly. You are also an honest person. You can get along with honest people." In this way, 33-year-old Chen Yun and 19-year-old Yu Ruomu got together, and the two then held a wedding and became revolutionary companions.
Deng Xiaoping heard that Chen Yun was married, so he wrote a poem:
"A thousand miles of marriage is a thread, and the pain of nose brings a beautiful marriage, Zhongshan policy female secretary, Mr. Route Career."
Then, Yu Ruomu was transferred to the Organization Department of Central Committee to serve as Chen Yun's secretary, so that Chen Yun could take care of him in work and life.

The third daughter Chen Weilan was once the vice president of the National School of Administration, and the youngest son Chen Fang was the chairman of Luzheng Futures Co., Ltd.
