Jiao Po said, "When I first arrived in Chaozhou twenty years ago, I found that the people here are evil and the families enjoy slaughtering the water clans and eating some strange fish that I have never seen before. I have heard people say that the strange fish in the water are transformed by dragons, and they will suffer retribution after eating. So my family of three quit killing and eating vegetarian food, and the water bowl will naturally have no fishy smell."
The Taoist nodded: "Yes, the people here have killed too many dragon ao, and their sins are deeper. Now Jade Emperor has ordered this place to be a continent. There will be a big flood soon. You must be prepared to flee with your family.
You see that there is a stone turtle under the reputation of the yamen. Every morning, I will go there to see if the turtle's eyes turn red. I will quickly take my family south and hide on the Holy Maiden Mountain. In addition, I can help you realize a wish. Do you want your descendants to be officials, or to enjoy wealth, or to be worshipped forever?"
Jiao Po said, "How dare I ask for glory and wealth? I just want someone to burn incense for me after death."The Taoist nodded and turned into a white light and disappeared. Only then did Jiao Po realize that he had really met a god. From then on, he went to the yamen to observe the eyes of the stone turtle as the Taoist told him every day.
