In front of the Liucun Past Memorial Hall, veteran Chang Shunbao shared his experience of joining the army and shared the thrilling past of him and his comrades fighting bloody battles, killing the enemy bravely, resisting aggression, and not afraid of sacrifice in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. Although their conditions were harsh, they achieved the final victory of the war with their steel-like will. The simple language and vivid deeds aroused strong resonance between teachers and students. The students expressed that they would inherit and carry forward the fearless spirit of the older generation of revolutionary heroes who were not afraid of hardship and dared to sacrifice, cherish peace, study hard, and serve the motherland and hometown when they grow up.
Chang Shunbao was born in April 1964. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and lives in Shenghe Road Street, Handanshan District. He joined the army in October 1982 and was discharged in December 1988. From 1986 to 1988, he participated in the defense operations against Vietnam, led the entire squad to defend the No. 7 position of Balihedongshan for 180 days, repelled the enemy's platoon-level attacks once, and the team-level sneak attacks were more than 20 times. He achieved the record of annihilation of 2 enemies and injured 10 enemies, and won the "advanced unit for position construction" and "advanced unit for position health" for the company. After the war, he was awarded the first-class merit by the army's political department and the first-class merit of the class. After the lecture, the students visited the Liucun Past Memorial Hall on the spot. Under the guidance of the tour guide, the students learned about Longxing Pawns, Yongtai Tour, Hengdali Watch House, Handan Photo Hall, Dahua Car Store and other characteristic cultural exhibition halls with local customs, and further understood the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs carried by black and white photos, as well as the glorious history of the working people and model leaders in the difficult and difficult years, and inspired the students to be grateful to the Party and love their hometown.
