1980-International Astronautical Federation accepts my country as a member
International Astronautical Federation (IAF), it is a non-governmental international academic organization in the aerospace industry. In September 1950, it was initiated by the Federal Germany, France and the British Astronautics Society and was officially established in Paris, France in 1951. Also participating in the founding meeting were representatives of the society of Argentina , Austria , Denmark , Spain and Sweden . The purpose of the Federation is mainly to promote the research and cooperation between space technology and outer space through scientific and technological exchanges, promote the development of aerospace and the peaceful use of outer space activities. It has a great influence in the international academic community and has been hired as a technical consulting body by United Nations Commission on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (COPUOS). On September 25, 1980, the International Astronautics Federation accepted China as a member. So far, the Federation has 161 member organizations in 45 countries.
2006- Ban Ki-moon became the Secretary-General of the United Nations
Ban Ki-moon (Korean: 반기문, June 13, 1944-), the eighth and current Secretary-General of the United Nations, a South Korean diplomat and politician.
