The army was stationed in Nancun. Today we are still stationed in the 39th Regiment (Nuping). Prepare for war. The line from Shihu via Shantang to Lion Rock is ten miles. The 37th Regiment was originally scheduled to build fortifications between Zhushibu and Xiuling passes. However, due to a change in mission, the group was regrouped near Lion Rock. The 102nd Regiment was scheduled to move to the line between Shizishi and Zhushibu before nightfall to stop or assault the advancing enemy. The 38th Regiment gathered near the Meiling River. The Thirty-Nine Regiment stayed put. The division headquarters moved to Shishishi to direct the battle. However, due to lack of time, both the 102nd and 37th groups arrived at their destinations after 10 o'clock. However, the enemy only used one regiment to occupy the Niutulao and Xianling Mountain positions to build fortifications. The reconnaissance team went out to fight guerrillas in four directions; the rest of them tried their best to build fortifications in Toupei, but there was no movement.
