As Li Hongta said, Li Dazhao's life is simple, he was once the professor of Peking University Library, and the director of . His monthly salary is more than 200 yuan, but he never takes a rickshaw to go to work. He always eats his own steamed buns or wotou for lunch at work. Most of the money is used to develop the party’s cause and help the poor. So that when the monthly salary is paid, a part of it must be deducted and handed over to the wife for safekeeping to ensure the basic food and clothing expenses of the family.
Li Dazhao's simple and clean life style and selfless revolutionary spirit have deeply influenced his grandchildren Li Hongta and Li Yazhong. Li Hongta is the winner of this year's " July 1st Medal ". He used to work in the Anhui Provincial Civil Affairs Department. He rides a bicycle to and from get off work every day.He lived in an old house of 55 square meters for 16 years. In his opinion, the quality of life is not important, but whether he can do practical things for the masses. During his work in the civil administration system, Li Hongta spends at least half of his time at the grassroots level each year, entering the village to do research work, and regards the minimum living guarantee households, widows, orphans and disabled children as his relatives.
In 2003, when the Huai River flooded, Li Hongta took the lead to check the disaster situation. He went into the tents of the victims to measure the temperature and found that the heat was unbearable. He immediately proposed that the local party and government agencies vacate offices to settle the masses...
