In November of the 19th year of Jian'an, because Cao Cao's usurpation was growing, Emperor Liu Xie of Han wanted to compile a letter and his uncle Fu Wan to conspire to kill the traitors, but he was sent by an unreliable person. Queen Fu thought Mu Shun was a person who could trust his loyalty and righteousness, so he handed him the letter to him and sent it to Fu Wan. Mu Shun hid the letter in his post, secretly left the palace and handed it over to Fuwan, and then obtained Fuwan's reply, hiding it in his head and bun.
Mu Shun was intercepted by Cao Cao on his way back to the palace, and he was searching for him, but he found nothing, so he was released. Unexpectedly, the wind blew the hat off, and Mu Shun put his hat on his hands, which aroused suspicion. He sent a reply letter to the fu Wan and was found. After reading the reply, Cao Cao was furious and immediately took Mu Shun into a secret room to torture him and asked him to confess his accomplices. Mu Shun refused to confess, and that night, along with Fu Wan and more than 200 clans of the two were beheaded in the market.
