Players who like history, mechanism, or immersive can play it. However, it is precisely because the elements incorporated are too complicated that the script is not very prominent in every aspect.
However, after reducing expectations, I found that this book is definitely worth playing in the box, at least I didn’t think it was a waste of time after playing.
First of all, we need to talk about the mechanics of the script. Although it is not particularly novel and interesting, , the mechanics of the script and the plot direction are closely integrated, which will not only directly affect the player's ending, but will even determine which character is the C position of the entire game. Due to the existence of the mechanism link, the camp and C positions in each game may be different.
reasoning and restoration principle is the focus of the second half of the script. This link is more brain-burning and is at the advanced level. There are two characters with a more comprehensive perspective, which is the key to reasoning. You need to share more information or let the DM help the car, otherwise other players will be confused.
As an ancient version, "Qin Meng Weiyang" also did a good job in emotional immersion. As a script with an ancient style, many people praise the good writing style of "Qin Meng Weiyang", , but I think the writing style of this book still has a lot of room for improvement.
Take the script of Xiang Yu that I took as an example. In the previous few chapters, I found some poor reading. The most obvious one is the red coiled part of the picture below. There are at least three errors in just half a page:
1. How could thousands of snow-yu troops face hundreds of thousands of Qin troops? How could it be "ten times the gap in force"? A very low-level arithmetic error;
2. The word "broadcast" is inappropriate, and it means no scruples, and it contains a derogatory meaning. It is a bit inappropriate to describe the folk propaganda of Xiang Yu's heroic posture in winning a battle. It is better to change it to "broadcast";
3. "Your glory is incomparable for a while", this sentence is very awkward. The scenery is a idiom. There is no need to add "" before it, but it is changed to "You are the scenery is the best for a while". There are actually many similar grammatical diseases or places that need to be polished. Although I have not read the scripts of all 7 characters, I believe the other scripts are the same. At first I even suspected that there was something wrong with my own version of the script, but after I pointed out the error in the puzzle circle, the author personally replied and admitted that the script was written incorrectly.
It is said that the three authors of "Qin Meng Weiyang" wrote the script for the first time, and the author was modest in the mystery circle to give his work a low score, indicating that there is a lot of room for improvement. Although this script is not as good as a "bad book", I still hope to work hard on proofreading in the future and improve my writing skills. Sometimes I still need to be more quainted with words. After the end of the game, I also took the time to read the scripts of other individual characters and found that the scripts of female characters are indeed more delicate in terms of emotional descriptions, and some C-position characters will have more perspectives. In contrast, some characters are more confused. Many times they don’t know what’s going on, and they don’t understand other players’ discussions. In layman’s terms, they are more marginal.

After playing the book "Qin Meng Weiyang", I read a long and long self-evaluation written by the author online, and learned some of the ideas and choices behind the creation of the author's team, and probably understand the creation process of this book.
To be fair, this book is of course still a long way from a masterpiece, but it cannot be said to be a bad work. It is still worth playing as a box. In my opinion, the reason why "Qin Meng Weiyang" cannot be a masterpiece is that on the one hand, the authors are just starting out and have insufficient creative experience; on the other hand, this book is too complicated and wants to get a little bit of everything, but in the end, they have not done the best in either aspect.
Take emotional immersion as an example. In fact, Farewell My Concubine is a good emotional material, but the premise of emotional immersion is that the script can put in enough writing to lay the groundwork, allowing players to enter it and have a deep impression of the CP character. According to the author of "Qin Meng Weiyang" himself, for commercial and other considerations, they deleted the character script of 30,000 words per person to 18,000 words. These 18,000 words include the game mechanism and reasoning restoration, so there will naturally be less emotionally immersive descriptions. This is also one of the reasons why some players are difficult to substitute for this book, because many details have been described too much, and players do not understand why they are so easily bound to the CP.
Of course, script killing is not a novel after all, and piling up words is not a good way. How to use condensed words to outline the character's arc , and how to use a few pages of paper to make players bald, this is the most test of the author's skills, and it is also the reason why many masterpieces become masterpieces.
In short, it is not easy to do these things well. I hope the authors will continue to work hard.
