"Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn"'s early media rating has been lifted, and the game received a 7-point rating from IGN.
Rating: 7 points, good
"Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn" is full of cool new monsters and is an enjoyable expansion, but it lacks innovation.
Overall review:
"Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn" is a relatively simple expansion pack, but that doesn't mean it's not fun at all. On the contrary, the new and old monsters and scenes are all top-notch, and I am happy to spend more time experiencing the new refresh missions. Even so, "Dawn" is still not as fulfilling and surprising as the "Monster Hunter World: Iceborne" expansion pack, and it lacks new ideas. The improvement of
is that the AI followers are smarter, but they are limited to single-player hunting, and even gave up the Rampage mission, without even thinking about filling the gap left by their absence.
Flying through the air on a wirebug is still a blast, and anyone who enjoys the base game will definitely enjoy the impact of Dawn's creative monsters, although you may eventually start to feel like you're still hunting in a familiar jungle, way. More diversity.
