The next-generation update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunter includes a bizarre Easter egg related to the biggest mystery of Cyberpunk 2077.
YouTuber xLetalis discovered nearly every other Easter egg and secret hidden in The Witcher 3, and he released a new video outlining how to uncover the mystery and its relationship with Cyberpunk 2077, a secret that still leaves players scrambling for more than two years after the game was released. The mystery of
- known as FF:06:B5 - revolves around a complex set of numbers that appear in Cyberpunk Night City. This particular number begins the beginning of things as it was found on statues of monk worship and later connected to some other numbers hidden throughout the city.
CD Projekt Red now seems to have expanded the mission to the mainland, as new content in The Witcher 3 sees Geralt teleported to the mysterious ruins where there are more weird codes.
By visiting the southeast of Velen, which previously owned the Ursine Witcher Armour, players can visit three small ruins and find a switch on the walls of each ruin. Pull the three to open a portal on the nearby hilltop and teleport Geralt to the top of another tower.
After getting lower and lower, the player finds himself in a room full of immortal ghosts. Deep into the ruins will produce more, but the last room also has two crystals that opens a huge portal on the floor when activated by the Aard logo.
It is in this room that the symbols can be found on the wall (above) and the letters around it present another set of seemingly random letters when translated: FF, VQ, BZ, KW, GB, FP, OVE and YAR. While this may be just a random inclusion, the symbol itself matches the symbol on the Cyberpunk 2077 statue.
CD Projekt Red's Paweł Sasko is the mission director for Cyberpunk 2077, and he also confirmed that the mystery actually has a solution, and players have not found it yet. However, it remains to be seen whether the Witcher 3 Easter eggs make things more or less confusing.
1 generation update was released on December 14, bringing rich new features to the 2015 game, including an upgraded combat system, brand new missions and armor sets based on other wizard content.
However, this release is not without problems, as many PC users have reported major issues that CD Projekt Red is now investigating.
