"Shame" is a first-person infiltration and action adventure game developed by Arkane and released by B.com. It was released on October 9, 2012 and is available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. In 2015, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were launched. The sequel " Shame 2" and the independent game "Shame: Death of the Demons from the World" were released in November 2016 and September 2017 respectively. The story of the game is set in the fictional industrial city of "Donwall". Korvol Atano, the protagonist of the queen's bodyguard, was slandered as the killer of the queen. After escaping from imprisonment, he transformed into an assassin and revenges the people involved. On the way, Korver received assistance from the Royalists and the Outworld Demons, the former was a group of people who were aimed at regaining Dunwall City, while the latter was a powerful existence that gave Korver superpowers. Many famous actors dubbed different roles in the game, including Susan Shalandon, Brad Dorif , Carrie Fisher, Michael Madsen , John Slatri , Lina Heidi and Kolau Moretz .
During the three-year early production period, game developers developed several versions. When creating Dunwall, the gamers used medieval Japan and 17th-century London as the model. During development, testers found that existing capabilities and technologies could be used to achieve unexpected results, so they tried to redesign levels to adapt to them rather than limit them. Additionally, the game's score was created by composer Daniel Licht and aims to re-represent 19th-century London.
