Foreign game streamers have mastered some mods that allow them to explore Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with additional companions by their side. Scroll landscape.
Game speedrunner PointCrow and "passionate Zelda fan" Croton demonstrated the relevant MOD on their respective channels.
"Multiplayer is finally here," PointCrow's Twitch channel declared. "This project wouldn't be possible without the hard work of Sweet and Alex Mangue." However, as a general tip for those keen to try it out for themselves, this particular mod is not available to the public.
Yesterday, PointCrow participated in the Breath of the Wild Speedrunners vs. Hunters challenge to showcase multiplayer mods.
In this case, PointCrow is trying to complete the game as quickly as possible while the Hunter (aka ARCHIT3CT) does everything in his power to stop him. The pair have their arrows disabled in this video, but as you can imagine, it's still a pretty wild event, with two Links flying all over Hyrule, certainly confusing the bokoblins.
Meanwhile, Croton uses a mod developed by Kirbymimi. This mod "allows a second player to join the Breath of the Wild experience natively as their own Link!"
Croton explains, "The archive is shared, but two players can participate together in most Action. (Multiplayer works by using third-party software to share the same screen, allowing Bluetooth controllers to connect across systems (Parsec)).
