Tencent 's Lightspeed Studio's first AAA open world game will use Jin Yong 's martial arts characters. Jin Yong's martial arts novels are very famous. Over the years, many of his works have been adapted into TV series, movies and comics.

Lightspeed Studios has released a trailer showing that the game will use Unreal Engine 5, but its actual gameplay is currently unclear. The trailer shows a character who is Yang Guo, the protagonist of The Legend of the Condor Heroes. As for his opponent, it's unclear who it is, but it's likely from another Jin Yong novel, or a new character entirely.

This version of Yang Guo is what he looked like in the middle and later stages of The Legend of the Condor Heroes - as evidenced by his missing arm and use of a giant sword. The back half of Yang Guo's arm was accidentally cut off by Guo Jing's daughter Guo Fu during a quarrel. Guo Jing was a friend of his father's and raised Yang Guo for a time, and Guo Jing's story was explored in a direct prequel, The Legend of the Condor Heroes.

Although The Legend of the Condor Heroes is mostly about fighting, martial arts, and revenge, at its core is the love story of Yang Guo and Xiao Longnu.

Lightspeed Studios has developed PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile. Earlier this month, Lightspeed Studios also announced its intention to create a "Lightspeed Universe" - expanding its IP into multimedia formats. Players can wait patiently for the arrival of this AAA action game.
