According to reports, a jury composed of more than 60 independent experts conducted a blind review all day at the Fire steakhouse and bar near Dublin, and the Japanese Kobe Wagyu Steak, which was praised by the judges as "melt in the mouth", won the championship.

It is reported that the award-winning Akune Gold steak is produced by Starzen, a company that exports Japanese steaks to the world. The cow is 30 months old and is raised in the Kagoshima region of Kyushu Island with "warm climate and abundant water".
There are more entries in this year's competition than ever before.
"World's Best Rib Eye Award" was awarded by Wagyu steak produced by Australian beef producer Jack's Creek, which was fed from a 32-month-old purebred cow. The judges praised the meat as "tender, juicy, and full of butter flavors".
Jack's Creek has performed well in awards, and last year it won awards such as "Best Beef Stick", "Best Rib Eye" and "Best Cereal Feeding".

"World's Best Grass Fed Steak Award" was awarded to steaks of all-blooded Dexter cattle (an Irish breed) from Linden Foods in Northern Ireland. The 30-day mature rib-eye steak sold at Marks & Spencer was described by the judges as "very soft and rich".
It is reported that the World Steak Challenge has been held for eight years, and this year's competition has received more entries from steak producers and suppliers around the world, in more than ever before.
Overall, Ireland won the most medals, with a total of 54 medals, followed by the United Kingdom, with 36 awards and Finland with 28 awards.
