The video of the food blogger taking a "shark" became popular on the Internet. After checking, the "shark" in the video was actually the national second-class protected animal purchased from Dongshan County, Fujian Province. Recently, the Dongshan County People's Procuratorate decided to approve the arrest of a criminal suspect Shen Moumou and Yan Moumou, suspected of illegally selling and hunting national second-level protected animals requested by the county public security bureau.

The incident happened in mid-July this year. A video of boiled sharks and barbecue sharks shot by an internet celebrity blogger named "Tizi " in Nanchong, Sichuan attracted attention on the Internet. The video rumored on the Internet shows that the "piezi" opened a package at the entrance of a seafood supermarket, containing a huge "shark", which attracted a lot of people to watch. The video says that the "Great White Shark" is about 2 meters long. After posing in the city, the "shark" was transported to the second uncle's house in the countryside of "Tizi" for division. The "piezi" burned a large pot outdoors, and used exaggeratedly a lot of seasonings. The tail was used for barbecue, and the fish body was sprinkled with red seasonings.
A popular science blogger reported that the shark in the video is an internationally endangered wild animal " human-eating shark ", and is a national second-class protected animal.
The above relevant information has attracted the attention of Sichuan police and investigated and dealt with clues of his involvement in the case. After investigation, it was found that the "big fish" was purchased from Dongshan County, Fujian. After receiving the case transferred by Sichuan police, the Dongshan County Public Security Bureau immediately formed a special task force to solve the case with all efforts. On September 5, 2022, after investigation by the bureau, the case was transferred to the Dongshan County People's Procuratorate for arrest. After investigation by the court, it was found that on April 10, 2022, Yan Moumou (male, fisherman), a criminal suspect in Dongshan County, caught a large shark weighing about 150 kilograms while trawling the net and frozen it in the frozen warehouse on the ship for sale. After several troubles, the great white shark was eventually resold by Shen Moumou for 7,700 yuan to a woman named Jin Moumou (female) in Nanchong, Sichuan.
On July 12, 2022, Jin Moumou released a video about sharks on the video platform, which attracted the attention of local police, but the great white shark has become a "delicious food" in some people, with only the remaining bones left. The Nanhai Aquatic Products Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fisheries Sciences identified the tissue sample of shark residues DNA barcode sent for inspection. This tissue sample belongs to the mermaid species of Carcisco , the order Carcisco family , and is a national second-class protected animal.
The Dongshan County People's Procuratorate, after reviewing the case, believed that Shen Moumou and Yan Moumou had constituted the crime of endangering precious and endangered wild animals, and decided to approve the arrest of him on suspicion of "the crime of endangering precious and endangered wild animals." Now, Shen Moumou and Yan Moumou have no choice but to regret it and express their voluntary plead guilty and accept punishment.
It is understood that great white shark has been included in Appendix II to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and is a second-class protected animal in my country. In March 2017, the Office of the Import and Export of Endangered Species of my country published the "List of Wild Animals or Products Prohibited or Restricted Trade in International Conventions concluded or participated by the People's Republic of China", and the human-eating sharks were listed among them. According to Article 341 of the "HTM1 Criminal Law", those who illegally hunt or kill precious and endangered wild animals protected by the state, or illegally purchase, transport or sell precious and endangered wild animals and their products protected by the state, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or detention, and shall be fined; if the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years but not more than ten years, and shall be fined; if the circumstances are particularly serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than ten years, and shall be fined or property confiscated.
How can "Great White Shark" be used as a delicacy! The prosecutor in charge of this case reminds: During the marine fishing process, fish that are explicitly prohibited by law must be released, or relevant institutions must be asked to identify and deal with it, and cannot be sold privately. And "foodies" should not feast on national protected animals as a "food" in order to seek good fortune, otherwise they will be punished by law.
