From December 23rd to 25th, the 3rd China Innovative Food Conference and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Food Expo (referred to as the Creative Food Expo) was held at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center . As the "No. 1 Grain and Oil Logistics and Processing Town in China", Mayong Town, Dongguan City has a total of 26 companies participating in the exhibition, injecting new momentum into the town's new round of economic development.
On the morning of December 23, Lai Huafeng, member of the Party Committee of Mayong Town, Dongguan City, attended the opening ceremony and led a team to communicate with Mayong enterprises participating in the exhibition. It is understood that the total area of the Mayong exhibition area of this expo is about 1,000 square meters. Including COFCO (Dongguan) Grain and Oil Industry Co., Ltd., Dongguan Yihai Kerry Grain, Oil and Food Industry Co., Ltd., Dongguan Suifeng Grain Group Co., Ltd., there are 26 companies in Mayong participating in the exhibition.
Mayong is known as the "No. 1 Grain and Oil Logistics and Processing Town in China". There are currently 29 regulated grain, oil and food enterprises in the town, covering a total area of more than 3,000 acres, with a total investment of about 17 billion yuan. The world's four major grain merchants, as well as large-scale grain and oil and other central enterprises, state-owned and private enterprises, gather in Mayong.
In 2021, the total industrial output value of Mayong's grain and oil industry was approximately 56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21%, accounting for approximately 60% of the city's total food industry output value. It is the core area of Dongguan City's food and beverage industry cluster. Mayong Xinsha Industrial Park (Food and Beverage) was rated as a 2022 Featured Industrial Park by the Guangdong Provincial Leading Group Office for the Construction of a Powerful Manufacturing Province. It is the only featured industrial park in Dongguan selected.
At present, Mayong has designated more than 20,000 acres of land as the core area of the food and beverage industry cluster. The newly put into operation from 2022 to 2025 will reach 1.4 million square meters of industrial carriers. It will rely on the outstanding location advantages and the transportation advantages of two high-speed and four railways, as well as the supporting facilities of two national-level first-class ports and large-scale international terminals to further gather terminal food manufacturing and prepared dishes/ central kitchen enterprises to comprehensively build an industrial platform, a demonstration base, and an industry index.
