As of September 30, 2022, the total number of China Mobile's customers was about 974 million, with a net increase of 17.15 million in the first third quarter, with a stable customer base; among which, the number of 5G package customers reached 557 million, and the number of 5G network customers reached 292 million, maintaining the industry's leading position. In the first third quarter, mobile ARPU was RMB 50.7, an increase of 1.0% year-on-year. China Mobile is focusing on exploring the value space of "full Gigabit + Cloud Life", actively promoting the transformation and upgrading of home business to HDICT (home information solution), and the contribution of smart homes to increase their income continues to increase. As of September 30, 2022, the total number of China Mobile wired broadband reached 265 million, with a net increase of 24.82 million in the first third quarter, of which 238 million household broadband customers reached 19.66 million in the first third quarter. In the first third quarter, the wired broadband ARPU was RMB 34.8, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%, and the comprehensive ARPU of home customers was RMB 41.1, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%.
China Mobile continues to promote the integrated development of "net + cloud + DICT" in an integrated manner, focusing on achieving a comprehensive leap in market capabilities, product capabilities and support capabilities, and the government and enterprise market growth is strong. In the first third quarter, China Mobile's DICT business revenue reached RMB 68.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 40.0%. In the first third quarter of 2022, China Mobile's operating income reached RMB 723.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%; among which, the main business income was RMB 620.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%, and other business income of was RMB 103.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 36.4%.
In the first third quarter of 2022, China Mobile's net profit attributable to the parent company shareholders was RMB 98.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%, and the net profit margin attributable to the parent company shareholders was 13.6%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the same period last year, and its profitability remained at the leading level; EBITDA was RMB 251.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%, and EBITDA accounted for 40.6% of the main business revenue.
