In August 2022, the top 50 cities in the country ranked in the express business volume of express business volume in the country totaled 7.405 billion pieces, and the express business revenue was 70.151 billion yuan; the cumulative express business volume from January to August 2022 reached 56.089 billion pieces.
According to the list, the express delivery business volume in the top 8 cities exceeded 200 million pieces in August, of which Guangzhou had a express delivery business volume of 862 million pieces, jumping to the top, Jinhua (Yiwu) ranked second, and Suqian City ranked last, with its express delivery business volume of only 38.723 million pieces; the cumulative express delivery business volume of the top 2 cities exceeded 6.8 billion pieces, far higher than other cities. Compared with August 2021, the express delivery business volume in 35 cities increased, with Shangqiu City the largest year-on-year growth rate of 52%, Jinan City and 2 cities in Wuxi City falling by more than 20% year-on-year; compared with July, the express delivery business volume in 26 cities showed an increase, while the rest of the cities showed a downward trend month-on-month growth rate, with Nantong City and Xi'an City increasing by more than 40% month-on-month, and Wuxi City's largest month-on-month decline of 31.04%.
In terms of per capita express delivery volume, Jinhua (Yiwu) ranked first in per capita express delivery volume, with 118.4 pieces, far ahead of other cities' per capita express delivery volume, and Chongqing ranked last in per capita express delivery volume, with 2.9 pieces; the 50 cities on the list are distributed in 21 provinces, 9 cities on the list in Guangdong, with express delivery volume of 2.539 billion pieces, and 8 cities on the list in Zhejiang, with express delivery volume of 1.683 billion pieces.
