The "Single Champion Research Report on China's Manufacturing Industry" pointed out that the single champion of the manufacturing industry actively cultivates and develops new products, new formats, and new models. It has taken substantial steps in promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing and the deep integration of industrialization and industrialization. The main force of technological innovation in the industry, the key core technology and the "leader" in the key links of the industrial chain.
The report pointed out that Zhejiang, Shandong, and Jiangsu have the largest number of individual champion companies, far ahead of other provinces (cities, autonomous regions), and more than half of the manufacturing individual champions are concentrated in the three provinces of Zhejiang, Shandong and Jiangsu. The eastern coastal areas have a sound economic development foundation. And the degree of openness has played a positive role in promoting the emergence and growth of individual champion companies. At the same time, the individual champions are also playing a leading role to promote the formation of industrial clusters with strong agglomeration effects and specialized division of labor.
The report shows that compared with other industrial enterprises, the top five batches of manufacturing individual champions generally have outstanding advantages such as good economic benefits, high market share, great development potential, and strong innovation capabilities.
However, it should be noted that in the field of advanced manufacturing segmentation, the number of single champion companies has always been small, and their main product segments are mostly traditional manufacturing products, while the single champions with high technology content and key areas of advanced manufacturing are still relatively small. Few, especially some cutting-edge technology products, such as telecommunications core technology products, new material products, CNC machinery products, advanced machinery and equipment products, automotive electronics, automotive automation products, instrumentation, biomedical products, integrated circuit products, etc. This also reflects the gap in my country's advanced manufacturing machinery from one aspect.
