A Feng Shui master asserted that if the Longmen River flows from north to south and Wenchang Pavilion runs from east to west, if all four occupy the same place, the whole of Anyang can produce three buckets and three liters of "Sesame Officials". Local celebrities and people with lofty ideals donated funds and raised funds for the town's land line to protect the eternal prosperity of the spiritual place. In 1982, Yang Xianzhen returned to Yun to visit relatives and saw that Wenchang Pavilion was no longer there. He asked the people around him with concern: "Where is Wenchang Pavilion?" When people told him that Wenchang Pavilion had been demolished, he felt heartbroken. When people visit the old site, they can only leave the sigh of "a thousand-year-old scenery, just looking at the ancient mountains in the breeze".
