previously shared with you some information about my use of minoxidil. But this comment managed to get my attention.
Although I know my hair is very oily, you can't be so direct, right?
I am born with oily hair, which has always bothered me. In high school, my roommates could wash their hair every three or four days, but I might have to wash my hair every two or three days. If the weather is hot in summer, I might have to wash my hair once a day. Otherwise, people will say: Why is your hair so oily? Why don’t you even wash your hair?
It’s not like I haven’t thought about solving this problem. I have tried many methods. The most commonly used methods are to wear buns and hats. It does work, but over time, I start to feel my hair sticking to my scalp and itching.
Oil-controlling shampoos like those feel terrible and useless. My hair is still very oily after using it. Dry cleaning spray, loose powder and even oil control paper can also be used for emergencies. At that time, I was too lazy to use dry hair spray, which resulted in my scalp becoming a little allergic.
Mainly because I found that when my hair is very oily, it will cause more hair fall. This is really unacceptable to me. I already have less hair. If this continues, won’t I become “bald”?
After I started using minoxidil, I noticed that my hair became oily more frequently. Sometimes I wash my hair the day before and it looks oily the next day.
Later, I went to see many other people who also used Mino, and also consulted professionals. Anyone who has used it should know that there is propylene glycol , and the problem lies with it. Then I switched to the gel I'm using now. Although it also has carbomer in it, it has a very good moisturizing effect. This way, it no longer has the greasy feeling before, and it is very refreshing every time I use it.
I don’t use a lot of it every time. It’s about the size of a peanut. It’s mainly used on the hairline and hair seams.
Now I feel that my hair is not as oily as before. It may have something to do with my change in diet. Because I used to like spicy food such as hot pot and spicy strips. Since my hair started falling out, I have started to reduce the frequency. I have to say, it is still somewhat useful.
Actually, I also want to know how those who have the same problem with oily hair as me solved it?
