Grand Seiko’s timepiece is often inspired by the dynamic elements of nature, digging deep into the stories in nature. For the brand’s latest luxury timepiece, they have launched four stunning items that reflect different seasons of spring, winter and autumn: SBGY013, a Spring Dive inspired by Omiwatari; SLGH019 inspired by winter Iwateyama ; SBGW281 reflects the omen of spring; and finally SBGW287, inspired by Boshū, which was when the beauty of autumn reached its peak.
SBGY013
There is a popular legend that "Omiwatari" is the place where the gods walked out on the frozen Suwa Lake ice. Therefore, talented craftsmen have made intricate designs on the dial of SBGY013 to reflect the color and texture of the ice-covered snow on the lace. The Spring Drive Calibre 9R31 is equipped with a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a dual barrel that provides a 72-hour power reserve when fully wound.
SLGH019
The Hi-Beat 36000 timepiece exclusively sold in the Grand Seiko boutique is inspired by the wintery mountain Iwate - the most eye-catching snow season on the snow slopes. In true Grand Seiko fashion, the dial of the Hi-Beat 36000 embodies the dark blue of the mountain-top night sky. The SLGH019 is equipped with the Calibre 9SA5 and the dual barrel provides an 80-hour power reserve. The 40mm case of the Evolution 9 style watch is made of high-strength titanium, perfectly matched with the dark blue dial.
SBGW281
For SBGW281, Grand Seiko finds inspiration from Bantō (Japan’s “sekki” or season), when the harshest winters end, the long-awaited warm sunshine illuminates the snow-covered landscape. At first glance, this watch looks extremely small, but through the sapphire bottom cover, the exposed process of the watch is quite complicated. The watch is equipped with a slim manual-winding movement Calibre 9S64, which is meticulous and has a stable accuracy and a power reserve of 72 hours.

Finally, we approach autumn with SBGW287, inspired by the rich colors of Boshū, i.e., "sekki" or the trees around Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi in northern Japan change their tones and announce the season of winter - which is evident on the watch's dial. Like the SBGW281, this watch comes with a manual winding movement, Calibre 9S64.
