Ikyu also publicly rebuked monks for secretly pursuing carnal desires, and on the surface they were hypocritical and secretly committed crimes. Ikkyu had dated countless women in his later years. When he was 78 years old, he also met a blind singer named Sen. Mori, who was 40, fell in love with him. Ikkyu wrote many erotic and explicit love poems for him, boldly and unrestrainedly declaring his love, such as "Blind Sen chanting with him every night, and was whispered by the mandarin ducks. Ikkyu kept Monkey with him to take care of him, which lasted for ten years.
