In 1940, Guan Hua, the author of "Xiao Yu Lai", joined the army and made literary creations while conquering the South and the North. Soon, with his childhood life as the background, he created this novella "The Rain Is Not Dead", which was later renamed "Little Hero Rain".

Guan Hua's self-reported "Little Hero Rain" is inspired by his real childhood experience. In 1948, "No Death in the Rain" was published in the "People's Daily",The story of Yulai moved and inspired readers and was well received by all parties. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, excerpts from "Little Hero Raining" were incorporated into Chinese textbooks for primary and secondary schools across the country by the Ministry of Education.
