According to the relevant requirements of the school and the Student Affairs Office "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the First Semester of the 2020-2021 School Year" and other related requirements, the School of Economics and Management attaches great importance to it, carefully plans, and does a solid job of returning to school.
On August 21-23, a total of 2,205 undergraduate and postgraduate students returned to school in batches on schedule. School Party Secretary Yan Dawei, Dean Wang Junping and other college leaders went to the return-to-school registration point and the student dormitory respectively to check the implementation of students’ return-to-school related work, understand the student’s ideological trends, and offer condolences to the participating academic cadres. Secretary Yan Dawei emphasized that we must attach great importance to the work of returning to school and strictly implement the requirements of the school. For students who have not returned to school, counselors should pay attention to the students themselves and their parents in a timely manner; for students who have returned to school, academic cadres should be in-depth In the dormitory, we should keep abreast of students’ thoughts, and care about students’ actual difficulties, especially whether students and their families have suffered losses during the new crown pneumonia epidemic and whether they have suffered losses during the recent floods. On behalf of the college, Dean Wang Junping expressed condolences to the academic cadres working on the front line, and urged the academic cadres to keep abreast of recent students’ opinions and suggestions on the school’s education, teaching, and management services.
On the evening of August 23, the college held grade meetings for the 2019, 2018, and 2017 levels to organize and implement the "Resume First Lesson" in time. In accordance with the requirements of the college’s "Class Meeting and Class Meeting Preaching Summary" and the regular meeting of academic work, each grade has carried out education and requirements based on the actual work of the grade. At the 2018 grade meeting, the counselor, Mr. Lu Xiaohan, emphasized the management discipline of epidemic prevention and control, required timely changes to the "I am on campus" return to school status, required every student to check in the morning and afternoon on time, and abide by the campus management regulations during the closure period; reminded Dear students, prevent bad online borrowing and online shopping fraud on campus, and raise students' safety awareness; require all dormitories to carry out sanitation rectification, comprehensively clean dormitory hygiene, and investigate hidden dangers in the dormitory. At the same time, the class discipline was emphasized, and students were reminded to check the class schedule and class time, and to mobilize for the CET-4 and CET-6. The 2017 class combined with employment work, preaching on employment work preparation and postgraduate entrance examination related issues. For the 2019 level, most students will take the CET-4 and CET-6 exams for the first time this semester, focusing on the importance of CET-4 and CET-6 as well as requirements for review and preparation for the exam.
Beginning on August 24th, each class of the college will organize "yesterday, today, tomorrow" theme classes. In addition to the requirements for back-to-school management, epidemic prevention and control management, and safety and stability, each student made a PPT and preached, summarized the situation of the previous semester, analyzed the current problems, and planned for the current semester, focusing on the education requirements of the stage target.
