1000 Day Writing Plan Day 284, Tuesday.
Watched a movie at home in the afternoon, called "13 Life" in Chinese, adapted from a real incident in Thailand's cave rescue in 2018, with a Douban score of 8.4.
After watching the movie, I am going to do two things:
First. Every time I watch a touching movie in the future, I will write my impressions after watching it, and create my own parallel world through writing. Watching movies in is actually another window to look outward, which is a static travel . After reading it, no matter what kind of feelings and emotions you feel, they become words and recorded. Maybe the movie dialogue that you feel the most deeply is hidden in your own life drama.
Taiwan creative copywriter queen Li Xinpin once shared her continuous source of creativity and said: "What really makes me smart is not going to school, but watching movies."
Second, watch at least 2-3 movies a week, just like the daily reading habits now. Understanding movies is actually a very useful method of upgrading dimensions. A good movie can allow you to open up different cognitive frameworks, experience hundreds of life and a hundred emotions, and think about your own life scripts... If only looks at the movie from an audience perspective, it will always be the audience, and always be the pastime and entertainment. However, if you learn to watch movies from the director's dimension, you can create countless versions and plots, and you can also put yourself into different roles in the film and expand various perspectives. This is an excellent choice to experience different life stories.
The movie is because it is a real event. Director Lang Howard has firmly grasped it, without any unnecessary narrative. The movie starts with the event itself very directly, and the expression is very straightforward, and it is a bit of a combination of documentaries and feature films. Local government departments and residents, volunteers from various countries, SEALs , amateur diving enthusiasts, doctors, and prayer monks... There is no political struggle, no opposition, everyone works together just to save the 13 people in the cave. Everyone has the courage to embrace hope with kindness and persistence and fight disasters.
Use a sentence said in the interview by director Lang Howard: "In this era of increasingly divided countries and nations and increasingly intensified contradictions, a story that can show the unity and concentration of multiple countries to complete a pioneering initiative is even more valuable and worthy of everyone's attention."
In addition to these, this film gave me two keywords of inspiration: meditation and diving
There is a plot in the movie: 13 boys were discovered after being trapped in the cave for 10 days, and the divers who went deep into the cave were extremely surprised because they thought that in such a dark and claustrophobic cave, they must have found a corpse, but when they found that 13 boys could still stand up and talk, they asked them, how did they spend these days? The children said it was the coach who taught them to meditate, allowing them to overcome fear in the darkness and preserve their physical strength.
Because I started to regularly meditate on inward and every day this year, and I deeply realized the changes that meditation has brought me bit by bit. From those who couldn't sit still for the first 5 minutes, now they can enjoy at least 30 minutes of meditation time a day.
Diving is also a sport I pay attention to this year. From being afraid of swimming to learning to diving with mermaids, it is also a process of breaking through your comfort zone. The cave diving in the movie is different from ordinary diving, and it is much more professional and difficult. The two most important British cave divers in the movie explore directly in the cave without a rope, unfamiliar with the environment, no clear gas plan, and such harsh visibility. They go inside for several kilometers to find people and can come back safely. It is said that there will be no more than 50 people around the world.
Through them, I was filled with awe of that unknown diving world. Of course, if I didn’t learn mermaid diving, I wouldn’t be conscious to pay attention to some of the details in this movie.
. When you pay attention to things that are interesting to you, you will find that watching movies in is entertainment, but it is not just entertainment . Instead, you can understand the story behind a documentary movie through in-depth viewing.
A fictional movie can see the metaphor behind the story, understand the truth conveyed by the plot, and feel the wisdom beyond our own experience, which is also the true meaning of our movies.
