What is tense
Before learning the tense of a verb, we must first understand what is tense.
tension mainly includes two parts: time and status
time mainly includes the past, present, future, past future; state mainly includes general, completion, progress, and completion;
and 4 times and 4 states are arranged and combined, and we get 16 tenses, namely, general past time (did), general present time (do/does), general future time (will do/be going to do), general past future time (would do/was/were going to go to do), had done in the past, have done in the present, have/has done, will have done, past, future completion (would have done), past, were/were doing, present, be doing, will be doing, past, future progress (would be doing), past, future completion progress (had been doing), present, future completion progress (have/has been doing), future completion progress (will have been doing), will have been doing.
Changes in verb tenses
Regarding the application and distinction of different temporal states, we will explain in detail when we talk about grammar in the future. Today we mainly learn the tenses of verbs, that is, the lexical method of verbs.
From the 16 tenses listed above, we can find that the prototype, past time, present participle and past participle of the verb are mainly used, corresponding to the present, past and future of the time where the sentence is located, respectively.
