In order to further cultivate young people's scientific and technological innovation capabilities, popularize scientific knowledge, and enhance young people's scientific literacy, on September 28, the 2022 National Science Popularity Day and Jilin Youth Science and Technology Festival event, co-organized by Jilin Youth Science and Technology Center, Jilin Youth Education Association, Tonghua Science and Technology Association, and hosted by Dongchang District Education Bureau, was held at Tonghua Third Experimental Primary School. At the
event site, Zhang Chunming, a science counselor at the Third Experimental Primary School, demonstrated a scientific experiment of "sports shoes anti-slip tools - sole patterns" to the students. He uncovered the secrets of sports shoes patterns in an easy-to-understand way to students. Through demonstration and comparison, students can experience the fun of science through interactive questions and answers, practical operations, etc., help young people establish a sense of scientific innovation from an early age, and inspire their love for scientific and technological activities.
Provincial Youth Science and Technology Center gave the school a series of popular science material packages, and the Municipal Science and Technology Association gave teachers and students science stationery and popular science books. This event is the first stop of the "Jilin Youth Science Festival" series of activities. In the future, the Municipal Science and Technology Association will continue to carry out popular science activities on campus to further stimulate students' enthusiasm for loving science, studying science, speaking science, and using science, and effectively improve the scientific and cultural literacy and comprehensive quality of young people.
