For a long time, some people have always used the number of candidates and score lines in this province as evidence and compared the data of other provinces to try to explain the difficulty of the college entrance examination in this province.

An objective fact that cannot be ignored is that the essence of college entrance examination admission is not to compete with students from other provinces, but to compare with students from this province. For example, mathematics in a certain province is very difficult, and everyone's scores are generally low, but as long as they get into the top ten, they can still go to Peking University and Tsinghua University.

Since it is impossible to collect the undergraduate admission proportions of all provinces, for today's data, we only extract the distribution position of the undergraduate admission score line on the normal curve from one segment of the data to observe which provinces have a greater difficulty in getting the undergraduate admission score.

In the figure below, the abscissa shows the scores of each province, and the ordinate shows the number of people. Except for Jiangsu, the undergraduate admission scores of the other four provinces are all to the right of the peak, which means that the difficulty of these four provinces is relatively close.

The situation in Jiangsu is a bit special, because the official has only released the data for one section of the undergraduate program, and cannot see the distribution of the subsequent data. However, the undergraduate admission line in Jiangsu Province is significantly further from the peak than in other provinces.

This shows that among the five provinces of Guangdong, Sichuan, Henan, Jiangsu and Shandong, it is relatively easier to enter the admission line for science and engineering undergraduates in Jiangsu.

Let’s look at the distribution of or comprehensive classes in Anhui, Guangxi, Hebei, Zhejiang and Hubei University of Technology.

It is worth mentioning that Hubei’s science and engineering distribution curve has no obvious peak, but there is a very large smooth transition near the peak, which shows that Hubei has more science and engineering candidates in the middle position (relatively smart).
