My opinion is this. Although e-sports mobile phones are a niche demand, they will not be completely replaced by normal mobile phones because there is indeed a demand. gaming phone can focus on shoulder buttons, waist charging, heat dissipation, number/position of antennas, vibration effects (large motors), speakers, screen size, weight (compression of other hardware), etc.
Generally speaking, mobile phones generally have one color as a whole, with a gradient at most. Gaming phones can focus more energy and resources on game-related aspects. I believe they can achieve a relatively better gaming experience in a space with limited size and heat dissipation. There is a demand for gaming phones, but due to the continuous accumulation of cost-effective phones, whether equipped with 8gen2 or Dimensity 9200, basic flagship phones are enough to cover daily gaming functions.
In other words, gaming phones have really been replaced by cost-effective phones. Let’s take the Redmi K60 series configuration as an example. K60E, K60, and K60 Pro will be equipped with Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 8+ and Snapdragon 8Gen2. This luxurious processor configuration is comparable to the performance of e-sports mobile phones.
