The earliest Concept Luna laptop was announced on the previous CES, but in the following year, there was no more news about this concept notebook from Dell, but it was obvious that Dell did not give up on this project, but instead brought more possibilities to it. Dell's Concept Luna laptop is built on the concept design of a sustainable PC. This computer has an aluminum body and some elements made of plastic, including a compact main printed circuit board, and all other parts adopt a detachable design, including a keyboard, battery, monitor, etc. Since the entire notebook uses magnetic connectors, data interoperability is performed by placing the module on the printed circuit board, ensuring a stable and seamless interconnection between multiple components, no screw can be seen on this notebook.
Since modular design has been tried in the mobile phone field earlier, but the market response is not ideal. However, products such as Dell's Concept Luna laptops that thoroughly adopt modular design are still rare. This may be a direction for Dell's thinking about future computers. Given that this product is still in the concept stage, it still cannot be denied that such a design is indeed cool, but it is still a long way from being officially launched on the market.
