Hello everyone, Bidian Kuwan is here to share the table accessories again! Let me report to you, I have recently compiled two easy-to-use 4 in 1 circular RGB docks. Except for the different designs of the fantasy light strips, each of which supports 4 USB 3.1 interface expansion, with a maximum 5Gbps standard; it supports four ports to read simultaneously, and an additional 5V USB-C power supply port is reserved. Even if it is connected to a large-capacity mobile hard disk, it can still provide stable power supply and ensure high-speed transmission.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at these two brothers.

You can see from these photos that the two four-in-one USB docks are all small disc shapes, and the line docks are integrated with one design. The four USB-As have one opening on the top facing up and three on the side. The differences between the two are mainly the shape of the light strip and the nearby appearance, one is a ring aperture and the other is a double linear light strip, each with its own characteristics.

Due to the similar appearance, the packaging boxes of the two are easy to be confused from a distance, but when you look closely, the models are different.

The model of the dual-wire light strip is YSR2-C3, and the suffix C represents the cable plug is Type-C, which means it can be used on a laptop; while the model of the ring ring is YKR2-UC, and the suffix U indicates that the cable plug is USB-A port, which can be used on both the U port of the laptop or on desktop computers. The C and A types of

interface are not limited by the model (exterior design). Each design can choose A or C ports, and there are also cable lengths of 0.3 meters, 0.5 meters, 1 meters, and 1.8 meters. Considering that I wanted to use the C port dock for laptops, I chose a 0.3-meter line length for YSR2-C3 (left below) and a 1.8-meter line length for YKR2-U3 (right below) so that the latter is more suitable to extend from the desktop motherboard interface across the ocean to the further side of the desktop, making it easier to plug in. These two options better correspond to two different occasions for laptops and desktops.

Of course, if you want to choose a Type-C dock with a 1.8-meter long cable, it is not impossible, but these two models of four-in-one docks are both 5Gbps full-speed standard, and it is a bit of a waste to plug into a desktop computer in C. By the same token, it is also a reasonable choice to use the USB-A to 4U port short-term dock for laptops.

Two light-up close-ups: The ring RGB light strip has a large area of ​​reflective gloss on the top, and the surroundings are held with turbo-shaped patterns to maintain their appearance. I think it looks better than the other one. However, this shiny surface is not tempered glass after all. It is coated with factory protective film when unboxing. You need to pay attention to maintenance on daily use, which is probably the price of good looking.

The top surface of the double-line light strip model is decorated with twill patterns, and a matte in the middle is treated. The light strip is linear and gradient, and it also looks very beautiful. There are ORICO LOGO and 5Gbps near the USB port on the top.

These two expansion docks , in addition to the 4U port design, there is also a sub-model that replaces the top U port with SD+TF card reader , or replaces the side U port with 3.5mm headset holes; in addition, if you want to save money, you can also choose 4 USB2.0 interfaces, or 2 USB3.0+2 USB2.0 interface extension sub-models.

Currently, the 5Gbps reading and writing speed of the USB dock is enough to meet the office and learning usage of most users. If it is downgraded to USB2.0, the 5Gbps standard will be reduced to 450Mbps. You can choose the type that suits you according to actual needs and use the money on the blade.

connected the two docks to notebooks and desktops respectively, and performed several transmission and copy tests. The reading and writing speed of USB3.0 interface copy single file is about 200MB/s, which is basically the same as the USB3.0 interface of the notebook Type-C multi-function dock I have at hand. The data transmission does not stutter. If you change to a transfer station for peripherals such as keyboard and mouse, wireless headphones, it can also ensure no delay and easy control.

The following figure shows the Type-C power supply interfaces on the side close to the outbound terminal. The voltage is 5V by default. It can be used to strengthen power supply when connecting large-capacity mobile hard disks. All of them should be available, and there is no loss of chain at all.It is actually measured that mount 2 USB drives and 1 2.5-inch mobile mechanical hard drive at the same time, and 1 2.5-inch PSSD can be read and written normally.

Personally, I think the 0.3-meter wire-long Type-C terminal is smaller and portable, and is more suitable for mobile office work. There is no burden to put in a pocket or backpack. If you plan to use it for both laptops and also shoulder the heavy responsibility of expanding the U port for desktops, then the USB-A port is more suitable for the reason. The A port is more versatile and not only suitable for computers, but also for PS5, smart TV and other devices.

Finally, I would like to remind you that if your budget is tight, it is also a wise move to choose a light-free version. After all, buying RGB light pollution diagram is a cool appearance, but if your workplace does not allow you to be so arrogant, or you are low-key, introverted and frugal, then the same RGB-free version will be a better solution.
