iPhone 14 Pro order delivery time slightly eased outside China, but the labor problems related to COVID-19 persisted in the main factories of iPhone remained a problem. All major iPhone 14 models showed different results in week 12 of the JPMorgan Apple product usability tracking report.
Globally, the delivery times for iPhone14 and iPhone 14 Plus have increased from 2 days in Week 11 to 3 days, and the delivery times for Pro and Pro Max have decreased from 41 days a week ago to an average of 35 days.
JPMorgan said that the shorter lead time of the Pro model is considered an "encouraging trend related to supply improvement" and that in most areas outside China, delivery times have been shortened.
However, China's extended lead time shows that challenges continue at the factory in Zhengzhou, China, the leading manufacturer of Apple's iPhone 14 Pro models. The ongoing problems at the plant could mean that "it takes time to balance supply and demand compared to the past few years," the tracking report reads.
Even so, delivery times for these models have generally been moderated, "seemingly suggesting that the worst-case scenario related to supply challenges has passed", analyst , who tracked the data, wrote. "The ongoing situation at the factory and the delay in returning to normal production levels may limit the rate at which supply and demand balance is reached in the coming months, although supply has rebounded a bit." Compared with iPhone 13, the delivery time of the iPhone 14 base model is relatively consistent with the previous version, while the Pro model is now relatively long.
In the United States, the delivery time of iPhone 14 and Plus is relatively stable at 4 days, compared to 3 days a week ago, while the Pro model has been eased from 40 days to 33 days. Although the iPhone 14 and Plus can be picked up on the same day, the Pro model is basically out of stock.
in China, the basic model remains for 2 days, which is consistent with the iPhone 1. The time for the Pro and Pro Max is still 43 days, the longest delivery time in all tracked areas.
iPhone 14 and Plus in Europe, Germany and the UK have a lead time of 4 days, up from 1 day a week ago, and is also consistent with iPhone 13. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max were 32 days in Germany, down from 39 days a week ago and 33 days in the UK, down from 40 days before.
For wearable devices and tracker accessories, supply and demand seem to be no problem. For example, Apple Watch SEries 8, Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra series, the delivery time is 6 days, 7 days and 4 days respectively, which is stable compared to one week ago.
The second generation AirPods Pro delivery time has increased slightly, from 2 days to 3 days.
