As we all know, in order to further consolidate its market position in the semiconductor field, the United States has successively put pressure on other countries, such as lobbying and restricting US companies from shipping advanced chips. Among them, Nvidia was deeply affected by the shipment ban.

Some time ago, a ban on US restricted Nvidia from shipping two advanced AI chips, A100 and H100. analysts believe that under such a ban, 10% of Nvidia, whose revenue business comes from the mainland Chinese market, will be affected to a certain extent. In fact, after Nvidia received the ban, it did speak out that they were unwilling to lose this market. Obviously, the US ban has a great impact on Nvidia's performance.

However, in order not to further affect Nvidia's H100 business in our domestic market, it was temporarily lifted from ban on it until September next year. At this stage, Nvidia can continue to complete R&D and shipment operations. But despite this, who knows what situation Nvidia will face after September next year?

So at this time, Intel made a sound. Publicly state that they can be a good alternative. To put it bluntly, Intel is just to directly grab Nvidia's market, but Nvidia is not a waiting place to die. With the ban in the past and the competitors eyeing each other, Nvidia made an expected move under the ban.

According to public information, Nvidia is providing another advanced chip called A800 to our domestic market. This is a replacement for the A100 chip that is prohibited from export. Although it is slightly inferior in performance, it is not much different, and most importantly, it is not affected by the ban. Therefore, Nvidia can ship A800 chips normally.

Seeing Nvidia's operation, we couldn't help but have a question about - "Is Nvidia openly taking advantage of loopholes under the ban?"

From the current Nvidia operation, this is true, because A800 is still an advanced AI chip, and what US semiconductor wants to stop is that Nvidia cannot ship such advanced chips, but it is said that A800 is not within the scope of prohibited shipment. It can be believed that if the A800 is restricted in the future, Nvidia can launch more chips with similar performance. This is what the saying goes, "There are policies from above and countermeasures from below." So obviously Nvidia has made up its mind to bypass the restrictions of the ban.

But under Nvidia's approach, we can think that the internal quarrels of US companies have begun to rise.

First of all, the strategies of American companies and American semiconductors have been on the verge of. We just mentioned that US semiconductors are unwilling to ship advanced chips such as Nvidia, because suppressing other semiconductor developments in the eyes of US semiconductors can maintain your own advantages in the semiconductor field. But Nvidia didn't let it do it. Or to put it bluntly, if US Semiconductor continues such restrictions, it may not be Nvidia that will adopt this approach to bypassing the ban. As ASML said, our domestic market is an important participant in semiconductors around the world.

Secondly, it is naturally arguing with Intel. Companies from the same country should have been united, but it is obvious that Intel did not give Nvidia such an idea, so when Nvidia almost lost the Chinese market, it proposed the statement of a replacement. Since Intel does not give face, Nvidia does not want to give up this market easily, so it took such a bypassing measures. In this case, the competition between the two may be further intensified, which is not a good thing for them.

In short, I personally believe that what is disrupting under the restrictions of the United States is not the other markets, but the market of its own American companies. It is indeed a good thing to be competitive, but the key is that it would be bad if you favor one and the other. What do you think about this? Welcome to leave comments, likes and share!
