After the production line switch, Guo Mingchi predicted in a Medium article that the iPhone 14 Pro model will account for 60% to 65% of the total iPhone 14 shipments in the second half of 2022.

analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that by 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro model will attract the attention of Apple suppliers more than previously thought. Less than a week after most iPhone 14 models went on the market, analysts made new claims about the variant combination Apple will be selling. On Tuesday, Tianfeng Securities analyst Kuo Mingchi updated its expectations for the launch of iPhone products this year.

After switching the production line, Guo Mingchi predicted in a Medium article that the iPhone 14 Pro model will account for 60% to 65% of the total shipments of iPhone 14 in the second half of 2022. This is a bit higher than previous expectations, which are estimated to be between 55% and 60%.

Among these models, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to be the biggest promoter, accounting for 30% to 35% of total iPhone 14 shipments during the period, becoming the most popular model.

Kuo’s claim seems to match the expectations of other analysts. On Sunday, the delivery time of Pro models continued to be extended, and JPMorgan said that the demand for Pro models is generally high.

Guo also believes that the iPhone's product portfolio is "improving" and Apple may have a positive outlook for the fourth quarter on its earnings call in late October. However, this is based on the assumption that iPhone shipments "will not drop significantly after late November".

These suppliers mainly include:

Sony (exclusive supplier of 48MP CIS);

DaLinol (main supplier of telephoto lenses and ultra-wide-angle VCM two supply);

LG Innotek (exclusive supplier of rear CCM);

Alps (exclusive supplier of telephoto VCM);

Minebea (main supplier of ultra-wide-angle VCM);

Samsung display (almost exclusive supplier of Pro panel);

Industrial Fullian/Hongzhun (main supplier of stainless steel metal middle frame);

Hon Hai (exclusive EMS of Pro series).

As for the beneficiaries in the Pro model supply chain, Guo Mingchi believes that camera component suppliers will benefit greatly. The list includes Sony, the sole supplier of 48-megapixel sensors, lens suppliers Largan, LG Innotek, ALPS and Minebea.

Samsung display is also considered a beneficiary because it is the only supplier of display panels, FII/Foxconn Technology is the main supplier of stainless steel frames, and Hon Hai is the "only EMS of the Pro model".
