TP-Link announced the launch of the first batch of routers that support Wi-Fi 6E. Wi-Fi 6E is a huge new upgrade to Wi-Fi that quadruples the available radio waves for faster speed and more reliability The connection . The first four routers it announced include a pair of mesh Wi-Fi systems and two high-end stand-alone routers, one of which supports 10 Gbps speeds. The Wi-Fi 6E router adds a third Wi-Fi frequency band, so in addition to 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections, there will now be a 6GHz network, which means less congestion and faster speeds.

TP-Link plans to launch two mesh Wi-Fi routers supporting Wi-Fi 6E this year. Both Deco X96 and Deco X76 Plus are tri-band systems. They will use the new 6GHz network as a backhaul to communicate between routers. This should provide a more robust and faster backhaul than the traditional tri-band mesh network, which relies on the smaller 5GHz frequency band as a way to backhaul and communicate with devices.

However, they also have a disadvantage. When you finally buy mobile phones, laptops and other devices that support 6GHz Wi-Fi connections, these systems can only be connected to them through traditional 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, because 6GHz networks are Used by the router itself. X96 promises speeds up to 7800 Mbps. The X76 can reach up to 5400 Mbps and also includes a built-in Zigbee wireless signal to support smart home gadgets.

If you want to connect devices directly via 6GHz Wi-Fi, you must rely on the other two routers that will be launched by TP-Link. Archer AX96 and Archer AX206 are both tri-band routers, but because they are not mesh systems, the 6GHz band can be freely connected to various devices. The maximum speed of X96 is 7800Mbps, while X206 should reach 10Gbps. If your network connection is fast enough, it should be able to support it. The prices of these four routers have not yet been announced. The first batch of units is expected to start shipping in the third quarter of this year. TP-Link also announced several other products today. Deco Voice X20 is a Wi-Fi 6 (rather than 6E) mesh router that can double as an Alexa-enabled smart speaker and will be launched in the next few months. There is also Deco X80-5G, a home Internet gateway using 5G, which doubles as a Wi-Fi 6 router. TP-Link also announced the launch of some new smart home gadgets under its Kasa brand, including smart doorbells and sports activation switches.
