In October of this year, Apple released a new generation of its annual flagship iPhone 12 series. Although, the iPhone 12 has a lot of innovations compared to previous generations, such as a new design and support for 5G networks. However, the iPhone 12 also has many shortcomings. The biggest shortcoming is that the Android camp has already entered the era of high refresh screens, while the iPhone 12 series still uses a constant 60Hz refresh rate screen.

However, this shortcoming is suspected to be changed in the iPhone 13 next year. Recently, Korean media reported that next year’s iPhone 13 series will continue the product line of the iPhone 12 series and will also have four mobile phones.

and iPhone 13 Pro and above models will support 120Hz refresh rate, and use LTPO OLED screen, this screen has higher charge mobility, faster pixel response, and has lower assembly steps and functions than the former Consumption, there is a higher production cost requirement. Simply put, the screen on the iPhone 13 is expected to reduce the power consumption of the high screen refresh, thereby ensuring the battery life of the phone. The screen suppliers are from LG and Samsung, and the previously reported BOE still seems to have failed the Apple test, so it missed the new order.

On the other hand, due to the epidemic this year, the shortcomings of Apple's face recognition have been fully exposed. Therefore, Apple decided to re-adopt the fingerprint recognition program.

Some time ago, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approved a patent application filed by Apple entitled "Shortwave infrared optical imaging through electronic device display screens". This technology uses infrared light and penetrating display imaging technology without the use of a physical Home button to reuse Touch ID on the iPhone.

Apple’s intention to apply for this patent is very obvious, next year iPhone13 may abandon the current main push Face ID, and re-adopt Touch ID. In fact, there have been rumors about Apple's research and development of under-screen Touch ID. The famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted last year that Apple will release at least one iPhone with under-screen fingerprint reader in 2021.
